As a continuation of “Energy and Vibrational Healing,” this course will focus on advanced techniques and methods for balancing the electromagnetic field. You will learn how homeopathy and flower essences are used as tools for healing. A more in-depth study of chakras will be offered, and students will be able to practice and experience aspects of energy work. Aromatherapy for Healthcare Professionals Join aromatherapy consultant Candice Chaffee to learn basic practices for using aromatherapy and essential oils. This seminar combines scientific data, practical clinical techniques and a holistic approach that honors body, mind and spirit. Topics will include using essential oils for common health issues, and how they act on viral and bacterial infections, pain, inflammation, digestion, hormones, emotional distress and other conditions. Drawing from 25-plus years of study and practice, Chaffee also will share how essential oils have been used in a various settings throughout history. Advanced Aromatherapy for Healthcare: Essential Oils This course is a continuation of Aromatherapy study, with an in-depth view of formulae and blending for specific physical, emotional, and stress-related conditions. Individual oils will be studied and experienced. Students will learn the basics for mixing therapeutic and skin care blends. In addition, the basics of reflexology will be taught as a modality for enhancing the use of essential oils. This fun-filled workshop will be experiential, and students will take home their own creative blends and samples of essential oils. Instructor: Candice Chafee. Holistic Health Primer – Part 1: Nutrition, Nutritional Supplements and Medicinal Herbs This course will introduce three basic practices for maintaining your health: nutrition, nutritional supplements, and medicinal herbs. As our food supply becomes increasingly devoid of nutrients, it is imperative we learn how to maximize nourishment for maintaining health. Most people don’t know where to begin. This class will provide the foundation for understanding what a healthy body requires and how to maximize nutrition from foods. Candice Chaffee is a certified master herbalist, natural health professional and has studied and practiced holistic health for 25 years. She divides her time between teaching, public speaking and natural health consulting. Chaffee has been a guest lecturer at numerous conferences as well as the Medical College of Virginia, School of Pharmacy at Virginia Commonwealth University, Wesleyan University, KCC and Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens.
