Healthy Weights for Children-Shapedown BC

Beginner Fencing (10-99)

Fencing combines the skill of out-thinking your opponent with the challenge of martial arts. Learn basic footwork, attacks, defence and strategy. This program is a partnership with the Kamloops Fencing Club.

Advanced Fencing (10-99)

Focus for this program is on advanced offensive and defensive strategies and compound attacks. Emphasis on cardio and endurance. This program is a partnership with the Kamloops Fencing Club. Participants MUST complete Beginner Fencing as a prerequisite.

Kidz Belly Dance (5+ Years)

This family-centered program is held twice a week for ten weeks. Participants can expect to develop better nutrition and physical activity habits, as well as improve their mental health and family communication. Each family member gets to practice setting goals and working on achieving their desired results in this supportive, hands-on environment. Chronic Pain Self-Management

DO YOU LIVE WITH PAIN EVERYDAY? This free six session workshop (once a week for six weeks) helps people living with chronic pain and their caregivers to better manage symptoms and activities of daily life. Participants receive the “Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Pain” companion book and the “Moving Easy” CD. Space is limited.
