In construction Interior distribution of a new underground floor in Rey Juan Carlos university

Health care center in Agudo

The project answers to a border need, the current square of the Mostenses is occupied by the Mostenses market building, an uninteresting one which makes the square a non existent one. The market is a need in the neighbourhood but also the opened space of a square. The idea of the project was guided by the determination of creating a new opened space for the city to breath. A big crack on the ground makes the connection between the Gran avenue and the new market. Pedestrians get inside the crack which leads them to the underground opened space surronded by the market. The building has a parking on -2 and -3 floor, where the loading bay are located and also a resident & clients parking. On -1 almost the entire market is placed, a central corridor leads the visitors towards the whole market, and connects with the stairs and elevators to go to 0 floor. The stall's design and location allows always the complete perception of the market world everytime. Backwards the market is a private space full occupied by stores, installation rooms, dressing rooms... On 0 floor, an half buried space are located the main entries to the market. It is divided in three main parts, administration one, bars and restaurant stalls and an all-purpose space, so as the administration can organise differents workshops . The outdoors square, is composed by the surronded space and two of the bigger roofs of the building. It is a different square, it has meeting points, children park, and the best of all opened cars free spaces belonged to the neighboors but also to the tired tourist which want to get away of the noisy and crazy

The way of showing the cars, tries to take near the visitor to the car, Nowadays in almost every museums the relationship between visitor and cars is a further one. The visitor is not allowed to feel the car as near as they would like. This is why in this museum the exhibition system allows the visitor to have many differents points of view from the car exposed. This posibilities are shown in the scheme bellow.

Under it

In front of it

The brief, a museum for a 30 private luxury sport cars collection. The place is located in the mountains of Madrid in the village of This place is a meeting point of the cars lovers who get there by the Navacerrada pass . The entry of the museum is only possible by car, as you came from Navacerrada a path leads you all around the plot. In this way, the onluy thing the visitor can see is a continuous concrete wall. As the visitor approaches to the entry the path goes down in a gentle slope tho the whole museum complex. First thing you see ins a big glazed space in which the garage is placed 5 meters from the floor. The visitors get into the parking museum under it. The building is a almost square shaped with an opened space inside occupied by the parking. Cars collection are located behind the glazed which surround the parking. Only the silhoutte of the cars can be seen from the parking. One tree located in the upper corner of the parking show the entry to he collection. The visitor goes up by the stairs or by the ramps. The exhibition system looks for the visitor be able to look at the cars from every possible point of view. To make this a real thing, cars are located on glass cabinets. Visitor can round the cabinet and also get into it, by the stairs which leads him to under the car. Visitor decides how to enjoy the museum an live it. Because of this exhibition system, the museum has two storyes. On upper one is placed the permanent exhibition. The garage is a visitable place behind a glazed wall. Visitors can go through a corridor to see how a car is repaired. On the ground floor there is an exit to the show opened space, where demonstrations and shows take place. Caf and administrative offices are located in an independent building rectangular shaped with an outdoors communicated with the show opened space.

The primary school is the other side of the snail. The program of the school is based on Montessori method of education. As you go in, on the left you will find a big polyvalent space, which can be used as a gym, or as a dancing place. On the right the hole school is developed. The twenty-two classes are looking towards the court. There are two kinds of classes, first one for children between 5-6 years old and second one for children between 7-12 years old. The main difference between them are their size. For little children the classes are bigger, a place where children can experiment with everything. Both kinds of classes have one bathroom, and a secondary floor with access from the own class by a spiral staircase, and also a direct exit to the court. The corridors are big enough for children to play inside, if weather conditions are required. The last space is where the library has been located, next to the social club cafe.

Located in the limit of the city of Almere with the big lake Gooimer, this project looks for the reactivation of the border by introducing a social club for old people and a primary school in the forest of an artificial peninsula. The existent road among the border breaks the connection with the city. This situation provides the project to be designed on using one floor, and be shaped as a snail by creating a paralell line by the road. This image stokes people as discover what is happening inside and is is then when they are called to enjoy the inside court, the place of relationship between old people and children. As you go in from the road you find a covered space where the entries to the social club and school are located, on two sides, one on the left and the other one on the right. The social club is distributed in two principals spaces; on the left there is a children's and old people's work exhibition place, the library and newspaper library with a public nature. On the right the hole social club is distributed with a little medical center, standing rooms and different spaces for dancing, painting, etc creating polivalent spaces. The dinning room and cafe are the limit with the primary school.

The concept of this development has a double function, a connection piece between two uncared places and the tourist and new Yorkers meeting point. There are two principal entries: one from the water plaza, by a footbridge and another one from the river frontage. Buses and taxis go into the building through a parallel road next to river frontage to an underground parking without breaks the promenade. The arrangement of project is holded in four volumes; three of them have an 80 m projecting. Each one of the volumes is dugged into the street and flies on a high-slopped roof. Under the roof, there are the waiting stages for ferries. This shape responds to a steel triangular structure, which achieve the big projecting without any column inside. The whole walls are the structure. The fourth volume is rectangular-shaped and is destinated to administration, and heliport on the roof.

The new transport centre in New York was a big deal. New York major needed a building to be the entry to the city from the river, the building must meet information center, flying, sea and earth transport in one building and an icon to be fared-recognised. Poised next to Brooklyn bridge and Battery park, the project propose a way to regenerate the areas river frontage, creating an spectacular place to enjoy dramatic views of Brooklyn, being the buildings a frame-mark from New York to New York.

This project is a new way to provide students an own place within multifunctional spaces, galleries for expositions, cafs, into a building called Students' House. A Hall Residence was also part of this brief.

6

4

The place is in a pine forest at the end of the university campus in Madrid.

7 3

As long as you go up the slopping hill Students' house is poised into a flat table of land taking dramatic views of skyline of Madrid.

6 2

Two perpendicular rectangular buildings articulated by a gallery on second floor conforms this development. Longitudinal one is glazed north to achieve the best working-light in all multifunctional spaces in the end of this building is located the library. Two storeys conform it, an upper one is destinated to be study place of the bibliotheque and the caf. This one connects with perpendicular building.

2

2 2 1

The theatre and exposition places are located on perpendicular building, and it can be transformed into a concert place if sometime is needed. Multifunctional spaces and bibliotheque are located in lower floor. Students' residence is hidden between trees, in a further space. Its longitudinal shape change as it goes up by the slope. Bedrooms are directly connected with nature. Common spaces are at the entry but also between bedrooms, creating by this more spaces to be in a group of people. The materials chosen to design the whole project have been stainless steel frames for columns and blank concrete on facades. This project tries to create the best space for students, a place where

WALKS_ all the possible connections with old town are marked in the scheme on the right. The buildings in this walk, are all diferent between them, that is the reason why we propose a restoration plan to be applied when any of them has to be restored. CYCLEWAY _ It was interesting to continue the existent cycleway in nowadays stopped in the beginning of this walk. There are three differents zones in it: the first one arrives until pedestrian zone in connection with the walk. Second one in pedestrian zone. Third one from the bridge located at the end of the walk.

The twisting geometry of the tower respond to the park, trying to make a light building, achieved by the unusual external structure. It consists of a number of slender concrete sheer walls of different heights which support a series of stacked blocks that are able to rotate to allow available view. By this way walls are dug into the park leaving free space in all the spaces between. The north is closed to the cold and the communications are located in there. All dwellings are poised in the spaces between structure, students' ones are on 1st to 16th floor, teachers' ones on 17th to 28th floor and renting houses are on 29th to 33rd floor, enjoying of the dramatic views of New York city. There are two entries, both of them takes to four-height common floors with resting and meeting places to stay. One of the entries is sited from Columbia University, two of the sheer walls makes the entry to the 5th floor, and the other one, is going up a little hillside from the park plane, arriving to first floor. The tower has its own roots in the park creating sheltered resting places in the middle of the city.

Detail of an apartment type

Hall

Located in one of the most important avenues of Madrid, the Paseo de la Castellana, the project consists in a luxury apartment building in order to finish the city block in which is placed. The building is a twelve floor building, whith a floor underground destinated to a private parking, and the urbanization of the inner courtyard to the city block, this last is the common place for the whole apartment buildings in the city block. The idea of the project, was to connect the pedestrial people who walks trhough the Paseo de la Castellana with the common courtyard of the city block, creating a new opened public space where have a rest of the work or enjoy in the commercial spaces located in the ground floor which connect the Paseo de la Castellana with the space. To achieve this space was an opened space, the building breaks the continuity of the to the Paseo de la Castellana in the corner inviting the pedestrian to go in and discover the new public space. The to the Paseo de la Castellana is composed by the holes that the privates terraces leave between apartments. The building has four communication units, each one of them serves to two apartments by floor. There are three types of apartment: the type one, the corner one and the dividing one. The type one has a surface of and it is distribuited as it follows: as you go down the elevator you go into the previous hall of the house, this space leads you into the main living room and guest receipts. The door directly connected with the living room is the study one, the other door belongs to the main bedroom and bathroom. The corridor leads you into the two bedrooms and bathrooms and an opened space, the library. The last space in the house is the kitchen and the dining room, next to the service bedroom. The dining room and the library are directly connected to the big private terrace. This, is a place to enjoy the dramatics views to the Paseo de la Castellana or the new public space design in the common courtyard.

The idea of the project was to break the general impression of social housing is the worst housing ever. To break with it, the project always looked for an opened space towards the apartments could look at. The building is organisated in two-six floored blocks: one on the front of the plot and the other one at the bottom. They are interconnected by an "X-footbridge", which is different in each floor. This irregular distribution of the footbridge create an opened space in the centre of the plot, dynamic on its volume. On the ground floor there is in the front block, and empty space which connects the street with the inside of the courtyard an allows the pedestrian to enjoy it but not to go in. Next to this space, there are two common premises. As you go in through the empty space, you find yourself in the opened-amazing space of the courtyard. The communicatin unit is in the bottom block and two apartments on the ground floor. There are two types of apartments, one bedroom type and two bedroom one. Two bedroom type are located on the front block, two apartments by floor. One bedtoom type are located on the bottom block. The apartment concept design is to use the small space as better as possible. Both types of apartment have not corridors, they have as you go in through the door a big space in which the living room and dinning room are developed. Altough they are both sharing the same space the difference in the ceilling high separates them. They are always connected with the "service-pack" (kitchen and bathroom). Then the bedrooms are distributed next to living room.

Chandigarh is a Le Corbusier design city, the more western one in whole India not because of its people but its urban plan. This urban plan is based on big blocks bordered by big avenues prepared for big amounts of car. Each one of these blocks is called sector and works like a little city. In sector 45 the block absorbed a Slum, a place where Indian culture is , an outdoors culture, used to live in the street and go by walk most of places. To design this urban plan we studied the needs in this sector, and the most important one lack, was trade. To mix the dwellings with it, this plan proposes two main pedestrian streets connected with transversal more little ones and deterrent parkings. We wanted this plot be a new interpretation of a Slum, following Indian culture by creating outdoors public spaces where developing trades, green zones and meeting spaces. To collect the huge amount of water in rain season, there are many channels and fountains, full of gravel in dry season. Dwelling propose is based on Correa's houses and Le Corbusier studies about this Indian culture. We propose different types with courtyards and mellowed to adapt theirself to the familiar needs.and be able to grow up as much as they need. The dwelling I developed in detail is a rectangular shape one. It has 6m and 30m long between dividing walls with two courtyards an a well. This dwelling can be own by one family or two. It is two storeys. A projecting volume makes the entry to the dwelling be in shadow. As yo go in, there is the first courtyard, which connects the first and second floor. On ground floor as we go in there is the kitchen and a big space to be used as living room, and lightened by the well in the middle of the house. A little corridor where the bathrooms are located connect with the spaces for bedrooms, all of them connected with the backwards own courtyard. In bedrooms sliding walls are located so as the spaces can all be able to adapt the familiar needs and situation. Dwelling on firtst floor is similar to ground floor one.
