Minutes: BEADLE SYSTEM  New policy of the Ateneo - started  Goal (with Sir Calasanz): At least 30% of all classes have beadles  Quota of the ADAA surpassed  Reached 50%  If we can do 50%, why can’t we do 100%?  We have to appoint beadles per class. – around 2000 classes  Get the SBs’ help  List of classes without beadles to be given once encoded  Not really requiring 100%  No real criteria for choosing beadle – depending on students’ willingness  Problem: Some teachers are against the policy  To help: utilize Committee Ex-Teams – so as to avoid officers getting burned out  Beadle Conference – will appear redundant; waste of resources  So far, beadles have been performing duties.

Random Drug Testing (update)  For the entire year: 25% of population  ADSA representative is not here yet – hasn’t started for this semester  With the current pace, it looks like we will reach the quota for the year  Should we advertise this?  ADSA: does not want a campaign – pre-emption  More for intervention  Formation aspect: it won’t just be Ateneo that will be drug-free  We can have a campaign, but after the drug testing (end of this school year, before the start of next school year) PARKING TOMAS MORATO  Based on city ordinance of QC: fees for street parking  To ensure peace and order; to generate revenue; to prevent incidences of car-jacking; to provide employment; to reduce traffic accidents  QC SPA  Sir Edwin Rodriguez – adamantly opposed ordinance  No avenue for consultation  Where do we (the CB) enter here?  Part of the QC territory  Applicable in areas outside school (Katipunan Avenue is affected)  Similar to parking meters in the states  Relationship with the PPO  What can the Sanggu do?  Tin Chan will attend meeting tomorrow  Consensus: stand on the issue  Timeline:  Saturday – consultation with Tomas Morato representatives  Motion: to extend the minutes for the agenda (5 minutes) – APPROVED  Research first  If we do not send a representative to the meeting tomorrow, they may close their doors  We just have to assert the fact that we do not have a position yet  Easy to coordinate our efforts – work with the LGUs  Motion: to extend the agenda to a future meeting  AYE  Nay – We do not need to talk about this  This is not new  We have too many other advocacies and initiatives PARKING LOT  Complaints regarding the parking lot in front of Leong  Was supposed to be a students’ parking lot  Gave too many slots to the faculty – not being used  A lot of students have to park elsewhere  Focus on the alternatives – parking spaces are not the main issue (just ample parking lots)  We need to divert our efforts to other initiatives such as carpooling, etc.  Just because students complain, it does not mean we have to act on them immediately
