KE Live! presents

November 27, 2012 Sharletta Evans “Unmasking Loss: Healing through Restorative Justice”

March 12, 2013 Dr. David Sanders “Unmasking Time: Holding Past and Future in the Present Moment”

After the tragic loss of her three-year-old son, Sharletta Evans began her grassroots efforts towards gang prevention, leading her to form the Re-Creation Center, an anti-gang nonprofit. Sharletta was instrumental in getting a Colorado bill signed into law which expands restorative justice for adults. In May of 2012, she met the man who killed her son, making her one of the few people in the country who has been on both sides of the restorative justice process.

Dr. David Sanders is the head instructor and founder of Kabbalah Experience. He became perplexed about time as a child, and is pleased to learn that whether time exists or not— and if it exists, what is it — remains a conundrum for the greatest minds in physics today. Kabbalah’s insights about time help to unmask our relationship with the present moment, a present that keeps past and future relevant.

October 23, 2012 Dr. Daniel Matt “Unmasking the Divine: How the Zohar Reimagines God”

February 12, 2013 Rebecca Rosen “Unmasking Solitude: You’re Never Alone”

April 23, 2013 Rabbi Tirzah Firestone “Unmasking Our True Self: Lessons from Tamar and Joseph”

Dr. Daniel Matt is one of the world’s foremost authorities on Jewish mysticism and the Kabbalah. His ongoing new translation of the Zohar has been described as “a monumental contribution to the history of Jewish thought.” Dr. Matt has written many books and articles on Jewish spirituality, including The Essential Kabbalah: The Heart of Jewish Mysticism. He currently lives in Jerusalem and is working on the first annotated English translation of Sefer ha-Zohar, the masterpiece of Kabbalah.

Rebecca Rosen is a nationally acclaimed spiritual medium who uses her gift to bridge the gap between the living and the dead. Author of the best-seller Spirited, contributor to Oprah.com, and featured guest on such shows as Nightline, she will share her insights into the connection between spirits and angels and our physical existence.

Rabbi Tirzah Firestone, M.A. is an author, psychotherapist, and founding rabbi of Congregation Nevei Kodesh in Boulder, Colorado. Widely known for her groundbreaking work on Kabbalah and depth psychology and the re-integration of the feminine wisdom tradition within Judaism, Rabbi Firestone lectures and teaches throughout the United States on spirituality, meditation, and the integration of ancient mystical wisdom into contemporary life.

Unmasking the Authentic Self

T

hroughout our daily lives we change masks many times. Sometimes masks conceal the truth and other times masks reveal the truth. Each of our speakers will address a different mask that, when removed, allows us to see our authentic self.

All lectures except for February 12 with Rebecca Rosen will be held at the Goldberger Center, 3599 South Ivanhoe Street, Denver CO 80237. Refreshments 7:15 pm; Lectures and discussions 7:30-8:30 pm.
