Dear Friends, Did you know the Whatley Center is 25 years old? I remember coming to a concert by the Fort Worth Chamber Orchestra when it opened. Little did I know then that I would one day have the best job ever working as the director of the Whatley and having the chance to bring professional performing arts groups to our area. We are now beginning our 18th year of presenting entertainment. By becoming a Friend of the Whatley at one of the levels offered on page 11 of this brochure, you will ensure reserved seats to each performance. Our Entertainment Series includes The Hunts, Christmas with the Nelsons, Restless Heart and the comedy Greater Tuna. The NTCC Foundation will present a hilarious political satire show by The Capitol Steps just in time for election season. We are also doing a special series called “The Sounds of Northeast Texas,” featuring outstanding performers in our area. Recently retired Doug Hoppock, joins us in welcoming Theatre Northeast alumni, Martin Holden, to carry on the tradition of outstanding college theatrical programs. If you give subscribe to our e-mail list, we will let you know about art exhibits, music recitals and offer reminders of all events so you won’t miss anything! Thank you for your support of the Whatley Center! Come and enjoy the performances with us. It is not too late to make a contribution to the Campaign for the Whatley to help us finish up some needed improvements. This is YOUR center, please come and be a part of it.
