The Wards’ Writings It is hard to believe we are approaching the end of another year. This Fall has been a whirlwind of activity as the boys go to school everyday, the youngest keeps Melissa very busy at home, and Jon seeks to balance ministry opportunities and studying Hebrew. Having students in our home for Christmas movies, and as a family attending Student Life activities, have added to the excitement and aided our ministry impact. Please continue to pray for our health needs as the brief summer reprieve from sickness has ended. We are fighting another bout of illnesses as coughs, colds and ear infections have once again invaded our house. We appreciate your prayers for wisdom as we constantly nurse our children to health. If you are interested in more up-to-date news, be sure to “Like” our Facebook ministry page: www.facebook.com/woljonandmelissa As faith missionaries we also covet your prayers for an increased support base. Do you know of any churches looking to expand their missionary family? We love to share with others what God is doing in and through us! Would you consider joining our support team? Even $10/month can be a great blessing as we seek to train a generation of Canadian youth to know and serve the Lord! You can print a support form from the internet or through the WOL website.

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord!” Lk.2:11 WOLBI Ministry Update Already 95% of students are in one-on-one formal, weekly discipleship with staff members. Normally we don’t see numbers like that until March! We have been incredibly blessed over the past few months by a student body that is eager to learn God’s Word and grow in their relationships with others and Christ. Pray for wisdom for our disciplers and a continued hunger for students to “Pursue God’s Heart.” “I really enjoy the personal discipleship here! The disciplers are really interested in you and want to see you grow closer to God in your spiritual walk.” -Nathan from ON One of Jon’s disciplees said, “The BI has really helped me learn to manage my time more wisely and think about what I’m spending my time on. Using my time for God’s glory is so important.” -Jordan from ON Jon and the Student Life Deans have been seeking to revamp some of their chapels this year. Below one of the students commented on the impact. “Deans’ Chapels have really been applicable and practical in dealing with sin in my life!” Jon recently had the chance to travel with the BI children’s ministry team, EDIFY, and share the Gospel at a local church. It was exciting to see one little girl respond to the invitation to accept Jesus as her Saviour.
Israel 2011 Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! It is hard to express our gratitude for those of you who prayed and gave financially so Jon could go to Israel this past summer. He has been so incredibly blessed by the opportunity. Life-changing memories and hundreds of pictures have placed a longing in his heart that just does not go away (he already yearns to go back). As a teacher of God’s Word, this trip has had an eternal impact on his life and teaching, and it would not have been possible without your sacrifice.
