WEST BROADWAY FARMERS MARKET

The West Broadway Farmers Market increases healthy food access, promotes economic development among Northsiders, and cultivates a dynamic gathering space for community members, visitors, and businesses. The slightly ovoid form intends to portray a basket filled with vegetables. This basket portrays a more personal, local, and communinal aspect to produce shopping. The brick pattern at the base of the basket embodies a hint of the physical nature of West Broadway.

LUNDS GRAND OPENING POSTERS

The new Downtown Minneapolis Lunds commissioned us to create a series of countdown posters during the grand opening of their brand-new location. The concept derived from the variety of products that they offer with a simple color palette.

JORDAN AREA COMMUNITY COUNCIL FLYER

Jordan Area Community Council strives to bring the Jordan residents together through community action and involvement. The council needed to revamp their program and hired us to create a flyer to get the word out. The concept focused on creating a visual representation of the literal neighborhood as well as conveying the diverse nature of the community.

VOICE OF CULTURE LOGO AND T-SHIRT

Voice of Culture is a West African drum and dance studio that strives to build community through music, dance and the beat of the drum. The concept focused on creating a logo that incorporated a literal representation of two cowry shells as well as an implied representation of a figure in the center. In addition the circular nature of the logo represents the drum focus of the company.

Northside Neighborhood Council

The Northside Neighborhood Counsel seeks to unite the Camden and Near North neighborhood organizations, providing useful resources for the communities. The goal was to create an aesthetically pleasing map that shows wear the various community organizations are located within each of the Near North and Camden neighborhoods

OYIN DANCE COLLECTIVE

OYIN Dance Collective is a West African dance company that consists of primarily women. The concept focused on creating a portrait of a woman with a head wrap that also resembles the side of a drum. In addition, the client wanted the figure to have cowry shell earrings.

University of MN 2014 T-Shirt Proposal

The University of Minnesota is seeking T-shirt designs for each of the schools within the college The two concepts submitted were a “left chest” design that consists of a crest representing each school individually with its own small logos. This concept shows the Law School crest. The second concept proposal seeks to visually represent each college through the imagery within the U of M’s “M”. In this case we created the “M” for the College of Science and Engineering..
