GOLF COURSE CARE Creeping Bent Grass enhances playability of Rancho Bernardo Country Club Golf Course The Country Club of Rancho Bernardo in San Diego boasts an award winning Championship golf course designed by William F. Bell and updated by Ted Robinson. The decision to convert to Creeping Bent Grass was made in order to achieve prime playability as it can be mowed to a short height without stress, and forms a resilient playing surface suitable for tees, fairways and greens. For this application, Stover recommended a 3-way blend from Seed Research: 007, SR1150, and SR119.

This tight, dense turf is resistant to Poa invasion, and retains an attractive, uniform color. Stover Seed’s turf consultations played an important role in this successful turf conversion.
