Why is There Such a Gap Between Rich and Poor? As the saying goes, “The rich get richer and the poor get poorer” Why is that?
And what is the difference between rich and poor people? I’d like to give you at least one example that, if applied, will change your life forever! I know that’s a big claim, but it’s the biggest difference between rich and poor, and it’s not their bank accounts. IT’S ALL IN THEIR HEADS! Rich people do not think the same way that poor people think. If you’ve read Robert Kiyosaki’s book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, you would understand that concept. If not, just know that the rich and poor think very differently. And THAT is why they are who they are. Most rich people were not born that way. In fact, about 80% of them CREATED that wealth within their lifetime – so they didn’t inherit it, they made it happen. WHY NOT YOU? WHY NOT NOW? I want to share with you an exercise that you can do RIGHT NOW, to alter the course of your future forever. BUT, you have to do it…AND, you have to do it exactly as I describe it to you here. What is this exercise that will close the gap between rich and poor? Before we begin, you have to understand something, and that is people like Donald Trump and Richard Branson and others, if they wanted to start a business and they needed to raise some capital to do it – they would do it, right? Yes they would. No question.
Instead of saying, “I don’t have the money” they ask, “How can I get the money?” Can you already see times in your life when you have said, “I don’t have the money” for something. Now think of a time in your life when you got something you had wanted for a long time. Think back, did you try and figure out ways to get it – or did you just “know” you were going to get it? I bet you will find that is exactly what you did. This exercise that will help close the gap between rich and poor and will once and for all help you to cross the bridge from where you are to where you want to be! So, that’s what we’re going to do in this exercise. Instead of saying “I don’t have…” this will show you how to ask, “How can I…” Get out a pen and paper and take notes – seriously do it now before moving on…I’ll wait… Let’s begin: First, think of an amount of money that you need for something. This could be anything and for any amount of money. So, for example, say you have some Credit Card debt that you would like to pay off – think of that number. Or, if you need to pay for a daughter’s wedding an you’re not sure how you’re going to do it. Or, if you need to buy an engagement ring. Or if you want to go on a family vacation. Or anything else. What’s your number? How much do you need? Write it down. Now, what you’re going to want to do is write down your exact experience of BUYING that thing that you are needing the money for. I’ll share with you an example, and you can adjust to meet your specific circumstances.
I, Justin Humphries [enter your full name here, including middle], am sitting in front of my computer on Monday, February 11, 2013 [enter whatever date is 3 days ahead of today for you- don't give yourself any more than 72 hours, you don't need it] at
9:00 pm, feeling overwhelmed with excitement and joy. I’m looking at the computer screen, loged into my bank account. My wife is standing beside me with her hand on my shoulder, the kids have gone to sleep for the night. As I look at my computer screen, sitting on the office chair with my feet crossed under the computer desk, I am logged into my credit card account. I have just paid off the entire balance of the card – totaling [enter amount of money]. I see the payment has gone through and the balance is now $0! A huge burden has been lifted off my shoulders, knowing that I now am free from that debt. My wife is relieved because we now don’t have to worry about making monthly payments. I look up at my wife and smile. I can’t believe how easy it was to get the money. All I had to do was…. Now, I made that pretty detailed. I wanted you to get an idea of what yours might need to look like. The point is, make it as real as possible. Don’t just describe what you see, describe how it feels, what you are touching, tasting, smelling, etc. The more the better. Imagine yourself in that moment in the future 3 days from now. What will it look like, feel like, what time will it be? Write it down now. Ok, as you see, it’s not finished. It’s important to mention that it was EASY to get the money you needed. And, now you look back and reflect on what it is you did to get that money… Here’s the next step. On a piece of paper, or computer notepad or something, write down 50 ways you can generate the amount of money you need. Just brainstorm, write down anything that comes to mind. Make sure to cross out anything that is unethical or dishonest or would harm someone else in any way. Let me give you a few examples, just to get you started. You could borrow money from a family member or friend. You could get a loan, or credit card or something similar. You could sell some of your personal items on eBay or other similar sites. You could sell products online as an affiliate.
And the list goes on. At this point it’s VITAL to note that you MUST get to 50. Do not do any less than that, just keep going until you’re there. Ok, once you’re at 50 things you could ethically and honestly do to raise the money you need and close the gap between rich and poor in your own life. Close your eyes. Imagine floating into the future (3 days in advance) and going to that event you described above. Now this is very important that you do this – image yourself there – reread what you wrote in the first section a few times so you really FEEL it! Then, look at your list, ONLY WHEN YOU ARE IN THE FUTURE AS IF IT IS NOW! Look at your list – and somehow, someway, something on that paper will pop out to you as being the answer you need to pursue. You are in the future experiencing, feeling, and seeing this event unfold and you have now just seen what it is you “did” to get the money you needed. In essence you just created a FUTURE MEMORY. And with that future memory, you can work towards your goal, and get it in just 3 days time. Just follow whatever action your mind told you to take(from that list of 50 ways) and within 72 hours you will have what you need. The difference between the rich and poor is that the rich create the future they want by seeing it before it happens. The poor, just see what they have now, and it continues to perpetuate into the future. If you take this very seriously and DO it as outlined above, you will be able to create anything you want to create. You’ll be able to do it quickly.
And you will see the gap between rich and poor overcome by YOU! Going back to our quote at the top of the page: “The rich get richer and the poor get poorer” The rich focus on literally CREATING the future they want for themselves and then they just “step
into it” The poor, on the other hand, think only of today – and usually the financial burden, etc. So, they are telling their mind that’s what they want – that’s what they think about all the time after all – they go further and further into what they are wanting so desperately to get out of. If you boil it all down,
The difference between rich and poor people: It’s all about the way you think! Change your thinking, change your life. Do the exercise explained above if you haven’t already – go back and do it.
