Below is a transcription of this video This is Justin. This is just what we call a warm-up video here. This video is inside of a commitment to create 3,000 videos in the next 90 days. What we basically do is walk the office, about an hour and 40 minute walk, and shoot videos as we go. This is a Monday morning. Over the weekend I didn’t do a lot of shooting and didn’t do a lot of work, so I’ve got to get back in the groove of things. It’s important in anything you do that you realize you’re not going to be able to pick up and start where you left off if you take a break.
We’re creatures of habit and the key is to build habits that gear you more towards success as opposed to take you away from the success you’re looking for. What did I do this morning? I got started. This is the first video I’m creating of the week. I got started and am creating this warm-up video to get it started. It doesn’t have to be the best one. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to get in motion and get the right stuff out there. What I learned when I was doing a lot of writing is that most of the time, you have to write 600, 700, 800, or maybe 1,000 or 2,000 words before you get to the message you actually want to say. It’s the same thing with videos. The first stuff you put out there is not great. The beautiful thing about video marketing is you can put all the stuff out there, you can put some of the average stuff out there, the stuff that’s not so great out there, and some of the message will actually be good, and you can use few snippets of it for other things. I share that because everything has value and everything doesn’t have to be perfect. If you’re waiting for the perfect time to get the stuff done that you want to get done, good chance you’ll never move forward and never actually get anything done. That was a mouthful right there.
