The Power of the Nap
To See the Whole Video, Go To - The Power of the Nap Below is a transcription of this video There’s been something that’s been in the back of my head since I started recording videos and that’s take a nap, go back to sleep because you can. You don’t have to go to the office today. You can take some sleep, you can take some naps before spending the rest of the day with the family. I was thinking about this and that would have some temporary relief.
If I don’t do that and I do the things that I’m actually committed to first, I could take a nap later in the day and really feel victorious about it. There’s something invigorating about that. What happens if I get really tired today? What if I get tired and I made a mistake and I didn’t make the right decision? You can always go back and take a nap and correct it later. The thing is we want to test ourselves and push ourselves a little further each day. This isn’t about non-sleep or sleep deprivation. When I get a responsible amount of sleep, I take care of my health. There’s something in my head that says take a nap, go back to sleep a little bit. Wouldn’t that feel so great? What’s exciting is being able to get through the day without actually having to take the nap. That’s so funny that we talk about the naps here without actually having to do those things. That’s been in the back of my head since I started recording videos. That’s been a side of part of the videos and if I were to give in to that like, oh I can’t wait for the nap, I can’t wait for the nap, I wouldn’t have so much quality. What excites me is actually breaking through that and challenging it.
When I’m done with this, I’ve got to do two more videos after this that I’ll be through the 25 in a day, which is the amount that I like to do during the morning session. I’m going to go work out. That’s going to be the next thing. I’m going to go work out this morning and then I’ve got a bunch of other stuff that’s on the plate and get ready to spend the day with my son, with my daughter; taking care of those things and doing the things that I love throughout the day.
