Below is a transcription of this video I just got back from upstate New York, and I have learned this many times before. It’s been awkward the last couple of days because I haven’t been able to get a lot of stuff done and I went through a session yesterday when I was trying to upload videos and tag some videos. When I was going through it, it was just pausing. I was thinking, a friend of mine was telling me, he’s a writer, he says it is so hard to come back after a vacation.
I just want to give a little bit of, if you are staying through this, how to get back. I’ve only been on a two-day vacation or a three-day vacation, I guess. How to build back into the groove after a vacation? Here’s my take, the first thing I’m going to do is to clean up tonight. Just getting like just kind of loose ends taken care of and actually it is a Sunday night and get ready for the week. That means I’m going to physically clean up my space, I’m going to unpack everything, get everything setup, get the to do list together, and get everything set for the week. Once I get to a place of kind of back to stability, then I will ease into the work, and that means recording a couple of videos tonight. I’m just getting ready, warming up and getting ready for the week. The first thing is just getting ready and getting things stabilized because you’ve been out of the groove, out of the work mode, and not necessarily a bad thing, it’s good to have the refresher, but it is good to just ease back in and take steps in the right direction. I will do a couple of videos tonight, and then what I have got to get back to is, I don’t know, this is probably the 500th video I have recorded, or close to the 500th video I have recorded. I do not have any of these things uploaded yet, so I’ve got to get going on that thing, and that’s going to be a pain. I uploaded five this morning, and there are error messages and all that good stuff. I’m going to get back to that.
When you go on a vacation or away for any period of time, just come back and settle in and get things cleaned up and get things ready to go for the next day. You start the next day with a clean slate and thatâ€™s the best way to do it, or a clean palate, whatever analogy that you want to use. Thanks a lot for listening to this.
