I want to talk about in this video those persistent complaints, things that keep coming up and bugging you that need to get dealt with. I think there’s two things that happen as I’m recording videos that take me out of my game. One is I have some thoughts.
I have a meeting that I was supposed to schedule yesterday for 10 o’clock today and I didn’t do it. It’s been bugging me that I didn’t do it. I’ll do it when I get to the office at 9 o’clock this morning, but I didn’t do it and it’s been bugging me. That’s the thoughts for the screw-up, and that’s one thing. Those little complaints about yourself that keep coming up are the ones that you have to deal with. It could be, as you’re recording these videos, there’s things that bug you about my face. I had a cut on my chin yesterday that came up, and that’s not one that you want to deal with, but there’s things that bug you about yourself. When I started recording these videos, I had concerns about my teeth because I hadn’t been to the dentist in a while. I had to get to the dentist to start dealing with that persistent complaint. I’m looking at myself in the mirror each day. The key and beautiful benefit of doing this video marketing is you get to identify those things that come up as persistent complaints and you don’t want to focus on those. You want to deal with those, not eradicate them. That’s the wrong word, although that’s the word that popped into my head. That’s probably why you weren’t thinking eradicate, but you want to deal with them and dance with those things til you come up with the solution so you can get to the other side.
Video marketing is the greatest way to have breakthroughs in your life from my experience and to do so in a rapid fashion. It takes not getting stuck in a current place.
