I just hit a pretty interesting milestone. The second video I recorded I looked at my teeth, which is funny because before I did this, it was very difficult. I don’t think I am a shy person but I couldn’t look at myself in the eye when I was recording these videos and the second video, I realized I was kind of embarrassed by my teeth. I wasn’t embarrassed by how they looked but embarrassed because of the fact I haven’t been taking care of them.
I hadnâ€™t been to the dentist in over seven years and I guess as I am sharing this I hear that other people can relate to it. So what I did was take my daughter to the dentist last week as a step forward to get her first cleaning. Her first cleaning came back clean so I booked an appointment for myself and I just got on the other side of it. I lost a tooth about a year ago and that is how bad it was. I knew I had to do something with that and I have one more cavity in the wisdom teeth area and that was it. He said everything else was clean. He didnâ€™t necessarily commend me for not going in for seven years, but everything else came back as a clean report so we will call this one dodging a bullet. The cool thing is just kind of taking the action I was afraid of. Within five minutes, he said there is no major concern, no gum disease, nothing to really be concerned about. I was very relieved by that. I just wanted to share that so if you have been tracking my teeth videos Iâ€™ve still got some more work to do. It was a major hurdle but it feels good to be on the other side of it.
