It was about building teams from a leadership perspective. The CEO of the company, David Wood, what he said was to keep people around long enough till they have their breakthrough. Thatâ€™s not the whole message of that, but that was one little component.
I was thinking about that personally for myself, what it really takes, and when I’ve had success, it’s come when I’ve stuck around with something long enough and failed long enough and gone through enough turmoil and had enough iterations and got frustrated and got back up again and dusted myself off. What I’ve learned is stick with something because really, there is no magic. There is no magic solution, there is no magic formula. It really just comes from hustling and keeping on going, staying in the game long enough to have victory. You don’t know when the victory is actually going to come. I still, in the back of my head, somewhere have the illusion that things should happen a lot quicker that dissatisfaction with results is what drives us to going to the next level and drives me to going to the next level. I don’t want to confuse that with I should be doing something else or I should be doing something differently. It’s just doing it more, doing it quicker, doing it faster, doing it better, learning, failing, getting back up again, starting again, and doing it differently. It’s just a reminder of something which is great about listening to audios, a reminder of something that I know, something that I’m doing, but something that you know, every once in a while that thought trickles into the back of the head and says, hey, you’re doing something different, or doing it differently, or doing it better. Just realizing that this message is going out to anybody who’s listening to this.
Thatâ€™s a good thing because that dissatisfaction of where we are at any one point in time keeps us moving forward and keeps us moving in the direction of our goals. Thanks a lot for listening. Make it a great day.
