NATIONAL PARK INTERPRETIVE CENTER

A museum overlooking Klyde Warren Park in Dalls, Texas with intent to give visitors a perspective on various national parks without having to travel to them and to reduce the number of poeple in our national parks in effort to preserve them. This open air structure is designed to give visitors a simulated feel and experience of a national park through virtual and augmented reality exhibits.

The building is designed as an atirum with warped perspectives of scale and structure in order to further assist in the ability to project aspects of national park features.

CANYONS ON 42ND

A study of survival in soft structures in an unstable environment. An apocalyptic scenario of massive earthquakes was imagined for Manhattan, with a plan to settle a community of 160 people in a self-sustaining structure that clings to the wall of a fissure.

TARAZONA HOUSE

A single family home designed for an artist and his family to be located in Piedecuesta, Colombia. The site was to include a three bedroom house with studio space, pool and outdoor areas as well as preserving as many existing trees as possible. A courtyard house was designed with an attatched studio, direct access to pool, separated private and public spaces, and inclusion of plant life and natural light.

CULINARY SCHOOL

Design project for a culinary arts school in downtown Dallas, Texas adjacent to the AT&T building. A series of small gardens on a grid of balconies were implemented to allow for locally sourced ingredients as well as research opportunities. The stair-step grid of balconies was imagined for the maximum ability for sunlight to reach the gardens in a dense metropolitan area.
