Polish presidency in the European Union Council 01.07.-31.12.2011 Dynamics, positive energy and solidarity are symbolized by the logo. It shows Poland as a modern and spiritually young country, which initiates positive changes in Europe. The author of the logo is Jerzy Janiszewski – author of the well-known “Solidarność” logo, which has become a historic symbol of a Polish way to freedom and democratic changes in this part of the world.

Kuchnia PL / Cuisine PL Polish presidency is an excellent opportunity to present Polish cuisine. One of the most valued Polish chefs, Adam Chrzastowski, is supervising the creation of the menu with Polish dishes, based on national products, for the meetings in Poland and Brussels. Foreign delegations and journalists who are visiting Poland will be given a collection of recipes, modernly arranged by 16 chefs, including 3 foreigners, working at the best Polish restaurants. The main issue concerning all the recipes is a product associated with Polish cuisine (i.e. herring, cucumber, grits, poppy, game). Each recipe is preceded by understandable description of the product, including its cultural context. Publication is attractive by modern pictures..
