Dear Members,

It’s hard to believe we’re wrapping up another league year! Our membership has shown tremendous dedication and leadership throughout the year through the service and impact made in our community and among one another

Despite facing two hurricanes, our members continuously stepped up supporting each other and ensuring that our goals for the year could still be carried out

Without missing a beat, our members upheld their placement roles, packed our GMM meetings, filled volunteer shifts, nurtured partnerships, and uplifted those impacted by the storms The work we do in the Junior League of St Petersburg not only creates lasting impact but also serves as a powerful reminder of the strength of servant leadership

It is this servant leadership often practiced without fanfare that provides some of the most meaningful training as we work side by side Some of the greatest learning happens when a member is eager to grow, collaborate, and put the league and community first

Our organization is rich with diverse skills, experiences, and backgrounds. Together, we are an incredible resource for developing each other’s potential as female leaders in our community. The skills and experiences I’ve gained through the Junior League have allowed me to serve in ways I never imagined possible.

I am truly grateful to the Junior League of St. Petersburg for continuing to provide that space for me and for the trust you’ve placed in me to represent our organization. It has been an absolute honor to serve as President.

• We kicked things off with Casino Night at the St Petersburg Yacht Club, where guests tested their luck in a lively, fun-filled atmosphere

• The excitement continued with our Golf Tournament at the Bayou Club, where players enjoyed an afternoon on the course all in support of the Junior League

I’m truly in awe of our membership for coming together to make these events such a success From our Events Committee Ad Hoc team that includes events team members, sustainers, actives, and Provisionals all who worked to collect donations, secured sponsors, and attended in support we couldn’t have done it without you!

Our Fund Development team also worked tirelessly to secure funding for our programs, including a new grant from JWB to support our 28th Annual Care Fair!

From crafting Eblasts with important membership updates and keeping our members informed, to creating impactful social media posts that showcase the incredible work we do in the community the Communications team is behind it all

Our website team ensures that sponsorships are highlighted, programs are communicated, and events are well-promoted

A huge part of the success of the Find the Good Peer-to-Peer campaign was thanks to the Communication team They worked tirelessly to create daily social media posts that brought attention to our mission and inspired our community Our campaign wouldn’t have been as successful without them

Thank you to our small but mighty Communications team we appreciate everything you do!

COLLECTIVE IMPACT

ANNUAL PAST PRESIDENT & EXECUTIVE VP COFFEE

The Annual Past Presidents’ and Executive Vice Presidents’ Coffee was held on February 7, 2025, at the St Petersburg Yacht Club The event was graciously hosted by President Sarah Morrow and Executive Vice President Alysse Griffin

Sarah and Alysse delivered a comprehensive State of the League address, which included highlights such as our annual fundraising plan, volunteer shift completion, event recaps, the success of our peerto-peer fundraising campaign, updates on our strategic plan, outcomes from the Care Fair, progress on our community needs assessment, and new opportunities for member engagement Additionally, Treasurer Emily Knighton provided an informative presentation on the League’s current financials.

The event was well attended, and guests enjoyed a delicious brunch and the opportunity to reconnect and reflect on the League’s continued growth and impact

HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORTS

This year, our area suffered unimaginable loss as Hurricanes Debby, Helene, and Milton wreaked havoc on our St Petersburg community In the face of this devastation, our members who are our community rose to the challenge Many stepped in to support one another with recovery efforts and assumed additional responsibilities to ensure the vital work of our League continued uninterrupted It is in times like these that the servant leadership at the heart of our organization shines the brightest

We were deeply moved by the outpouring of support from our sister Leagues across Florida The Junior League of New Orleans provided a generous monetary donation. The Junior League of Greater Lakeland sent recovery supplies, and the Junior League of the Palm Beaches donated essential feminine hygiene products. Because of their generosity, we were able to provide for our community during a time when we could not collect donations ourselves giving our members the time and space they needed to heal and rebuild.

Through it all, our members demonstrated remarkable resiliency, leaving a lasting impact not only on our organization but on the community we are honored to serve

NOURISHING OUR COMMUNITY: A SNAPSHOT OF SUSTAINER IMPACT

Recent data continues to paint a sobering picture: over 111,000 individuals in Pinellas County 1 in 9 community members are living in poverty, many uncertain where their next meal will come from For these families, access to nutritious food is not just a daily challenge but a fundamental need tied to overall health and well-being

With this in mind, the Junior League of St Petersburg Sustainers once again stepped up to support our mission of combating food insecurity On Saturday, December 7, 2025, we hosted our annual Sustainer-led drive-through supply drive in support of Kids in the Kitchen, JLSP’s signature initiative promoting child nutrition and healthy habits

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Sustainers and community supporters, we collected more than 1,000 food items replenishing our KITK pantry in the wake of hurricane disruptions and just in time for the winter break In addition, a generous Sustainer donation allowed us to provide an extra 400 snack packs for children across our partner sites

This year’s event, held in the parking lot of JLSP Headquarters, brought together members of all generations to make a meaningful difference Whether dropping off snacks or simply stopping by to say hello, your participation ensured the success of this important effort.

On behalf of Kids in the Kitchen and the JLSP Leadership Team, we extend our deepest thanks to our Sustainers for their steadfast support today, tomorrow, and as we continue into our 94th year of service to the St Petersburg community

INER IMPACT AT CARE FAIR

citing new energy to Care Fair with the launch of booth a vibrant, joy-filled space stocked with hand sanitizer, nail polish, hair bows, scrunchies, stickers, and friendship bracelets Watching young girls light up as they picked out their favorite items was a standout moment of the day

And we’re just getting started

Building on last year’s success, the 2025 Care Fair will feature an even more impactful “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” booth this time, with a focus on menstrual equity Thanks to a partnership with the Junior League of the Palm Beaches, we’ve secured over 4,000 menstrual products to distribute alongside the fun, feel-good items from last year’s collection

Why menstrual products? Because 1 in 4 students in the U S face period poverty, with lowincome and underserved populations bearing the brunt Lack of access can mean missed school, unnecessary stress, and health challenges. By including these essential items in our giveaway, we’re not just meeting a basic need we’re empowering students to show up confidently, every day.

This effort is powered by our Sustainers whose passion, generosity, and leadership continue to fuel meaningful change in our community. With your support, we’re not only helping girls feel seen, we’re helping them succeed.

aspringtimegalentine’sbrunch

Despite the hurdles of 2024 hurricane recovery, health concerns, and the usual holiday hustle we made sure our Annual Sustainer Holiday Brunch remained a celebration to remember Postponed to spring and reimagined with a festive twist, our Sustainers gathered on February 13, 2025, for a Galentine’s Day Brunch at the St Petersburg Yacht Club

The event blended tradition with a touch of flair, bringing together JLSP Sustainers for a morning of laughter, reconnection, and League updates Though the date changed, the spirit of the season remained strong proof that no matter the circumstances, our commitment to community and each other never wavers

From warm conversations to shared memories, the Galentine’s Brunch was a beautiful reminder of the strength and sisterhood that defines the Junior League of St Petersburg

During our second annual Find the Good crowdfunding campaign, we surpassed our fundraising goal by an incredible 43 6% raising a grand total of $14,416 thanks to the outstanding efforts of over 40 League members!

Breakdown of Funds Raised:

$13,241 through peer-to-peer fundraising

$1,175 from raffle ticket sales at 3 Daughters Brewing

A big shoutout to our top 3 fundraisers:

Jennifer Ridgley – Raised $1,075

Erica Butts – Raised $1,000

Emily VanOosting Bollman – Raised $800

And to the members who secured the most individual donors:

Marissa Ferraro – Raised $650 with support from 14 individuals

Lourdes Alvarez – Raised $645 with support from 13 individuals

We wrapped up the week with a festive social at 3 Daughters Brewing, where members and friends came together to toast our efforts With five exciting raffle baskets including one generously donated by Sustainer Gentry Adams the event buzzed with energy and generosity 3 Daughters Brewing got in on the fun too, offering a free pint in exchange for a raffle ticket purchase, helping us boost our impact even further

FTGD continues to be more than just a date on the calendar; it’s a reminder that good is all around us, and when we come together, we can find it and amplify it in powerful ways

PRESENTED BY CROWN AUTOMOTIVE AND THE HAWKINS FAMILY FOUNDATION

Lady Luck was on our side for this year’s Blackjacks & Birdies Weekend our brand-new, double-header fundraising event that brought the community together in true Junior League spirit! As our community faced the challenges brought on by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the Junior League of St Petersburg knew it was time to pivot With compassion, creativity, and collaboration, we decided to combine our Fall and Spring fundraisers into one spectacular weekend and so, Blackjacks & Birdies was born: a Casino Night Kickoff followed by an exciting Golf Tournament

Thanks to the dedication of our entire organization from Sustainers and Actives to Provisionals and Leadership this weekend was a shining example of servant leadership in action With strategic insight from our Finance Committee, we were able to develop clear sponsorship and budget goals The Events Ad Hoc Committee sprang into action, rallying community support, securing sponsors and donations, and packing the house with guests ready to play and give back

We kicked off the weekend at the St Petersburg Yacht Club with an unforgettable Casino Night Thanks to the incredible event styling by Active Member Alanna Scott of Bride Tribe Events, the room sparkled with excitement and charm Guests tried their luck at blackjack, roulette, Texas Hold ’Em, and craps while enjoying opportunity drawings, a gift card wall, and delicious bites and drinks The night was all about rolling the dice and winning big for a great cause

The next day, we took to the greens for our Golf Tournament at the beautiful Bayou Club It was a picture-perfect day for a scramble-style tournament followed by an awards banquet that brought the fun (and competition) full circle Golfers enjoyed friendly camaraderie, sunshine, and a shared mission to support our programs and community impact

This dynamic weekend wouldn’t have been possible without the heart and hustle of our volunteers, donors, and community supporters. Thank you for showing up, teeing off, and betting on JLSP. Together, we proved once again: when we join forces, we’re always holding a winning hand.

Thanks to your generosity, we surpassed our fundraising goal of $38,500 --

CARE FAIR: A RESOUNDING SUCCESS

The 28th Annual Care Fair was a vibrant, impactful event that built on years of tradition while introducing fresh elements to better serve our community With more families reached than ever before, the Care Fair once again proved to be a cornerstone of school readiness in St Petersburg This year ’ s success was fueled by the dedication and energy of our volunteers and committee members, who worked tirelessly to bring resources, joy, and support to local families

The City of St Petersburg officially proclaimed July 2024 as School Readiness Month in honor of Care Fair, recognizing the event’s lasting impact on local youth. That spirit of celebration was echoed throughout the weekend, from JLSP President Sarah Morrow’s radio interview broadcast across Magic 94 9, 101 5 The Vibe, and 105 5 The Dove to the excited faces of students

picking out backpacks in the Linda Berset Family Backpack Room. Over 1,100 backpacks, filled with school supplies and personal notes from League members, were distributed alongside 600 books, and students enjoyed a confidence-boosting stop at the sustainers’ “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” table.

CRAFTING JOY:

A WHIRLWIND YEAR OF KIDFRIENDLY FUN IN ST. PETE!

Who says crafts are just for rainy days? Over the past year, the youngest members of our community have been treated to a whirlwind of glitter, glue, and giggles thanks to a series of wildly successful and joy-packed events Pride Day kicked things off with sparkle and style, as 100 kids unleashed their inner royalty by creating custom crowns. The festival was full of color, celebration, and a whole lot of bedazzling!

Then came Halloween, and things got spook-tacular at the USF event where 200 kids crafted their very own Monster Buddies Equal parts creepy and cuddly, these little monsters made perfect trick-or-treat sidekicks to take home

As winter rolled in, Downtown St. Pete transformed into a snow-dusted wonderland for SnowFest Over 300 children dove into holiday-themed crafts from fashion-forward Santa ties to adorable floating snowmen Who needs a sleigh when you’ve got glitter glue?

Love was in the air for Valentine’s Day at the Boys and Girls Club, where about 30 kids joined forces with Kids in the Kitchen to whip up some sweet, heartwarming crafts A small but mighty group of mini artists!

But the grand finale? That belonged to Mainsail’s 50th anniversary celebration, the biggest bash of the year! More than 300 children got their hands dirty (in the best way) with four fun-filled craft stations from traditional fish prints and bookmark decorating to royal crown creation and seed planting It was a celebration of creativity, community, and 50 fabulous years.

In total, hundreds of kids got to explore their imaginations, make something with their own two hands, and take home a little piece of the fun Sharing smiles, stories, and a love for art, these events reminded us that sometimes, the biggest joy comes from the smallest hands

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

In the ‘24-25 League year, JLSP maintained five community partnerships focused on improving children's nutrition, health, and access to resources These efforts not only support our partners and their missions, but also provides members with opportunities to positively impact children's lives

Volunteers prepared and served nutritious meals while fostering a compassionate environment to the families residing there

CLOTHES TO KIDS

Volunteers assisted shoppers with finding the perfect outfits to sorting inventory, each shelf was prepared for its next fashionable visitor!

THE RYAN NECE FOUNDATION

Volunteers helped at the annual Power of Thanksgiving Event serving meals and assisting with the family activities

THE KIND MOUSE

One of our Provisional groups dedicated 2 weekends of volunteer time to help prepare snacks for packing

CHRISTMAS TOY SHOP

LITERACY

The Literacy Committee had another remarkable year, dedicated to putting brand-new books into the hands of children throughout St Petersburg During the 2024–2025 League Year, we proudly distributed over 1,000 books to the community, continuing our mission to promote literacy and a love of reading across Pinellas County

Our year was filled with impactful events and outreach efforts. At the Care Fair, one of our most rewarding events, children joyfully selected new books to tuck into their freshly packed backpacks Witnessing their excitement reinforced the importance of making books accessible to all In the fall, we participated in the USF Trunk-or-Treat event as part of a growing partnership We embraced the festive spirit by distributing fall-themed books, helping foster a love of reading in a fun, seasonal setting.

In September, League members took part in Find the Good Day by supporting our Little Library Initiative Members placed donated books in Little Libraries throughout their neighborhoods, helping to promote community-wide access to literacy resources Additionally, we provided boxes of books to various organizations across Pinellas County, allowing us to extend our reach beyond individual events

LIBRARY PUPPETS

While the President Barack Obama Main St Petersburg Library is still under construction, the Library Puppets committee had a meaningful and memorable year bringing our traveling puppet show to schools throughout the St Petersburg community Although hurricanes delayed our first semester schedule due to school closures, we rebounded with a fully booked second semester As we look ahead to the completion of our city's main library next school

year, we are excited to host multiple schools at a time, expanding our reach and deepening our impact on young learners A true highlight this year was seeing three generations come together: Carol Russell, past puppeteer, and Rachael Russell DeVicente, current puppeteer, performed for Rachael’s son’s school a special moment that beautifully captured the legacy of our program

KIDS IN THE KITCHEN

Kids in the Kitchen (KITK) is a childhood obesity and nutrition initiative by the Association of Junior Leagues International, aimed at addressing childhood hunger and poor nutrition in our local communities In partnership with the Suncoast Boys and Girls Club, KITK provides monthly snack packs to children in need Junior League volunteers take charge of shopping, packing, and coordinating the delivery of these snack packs

During the 2024-2025 year, we have donated nearly 2,500 snack packs to the Boys and Girls Club through our monthly packing shifts at Expert Messenger, along with over 500 snack packs packed by the children themselves at Care Fair Additionally, more than 100 snack packs were assembled on-site during club visits hosted by the KITK committee in September 2024 and February 2025

Last year, we successfully reintroduced in-person KITK sessions, allowing children to create their own snack packs In September 2024, we hosted a live demonstration at the Royal Theater, teaching children how to prepare healthy snacks at home Under our committee’s guidance, they made their own chicken and salad wraps while learning about different protein substitutes

Looking ahead, we are eager to expand in-person events for the KITK committee

These are some photos from ou to the Royal Theater Boys and Girls Club, capturing these impactful

DollarswithaPurpose

This year, the Finance Council didn’t just keep our books balanced they helped JLSP level up! Under the sharpeyed leadership of Emily Knighton (Treasurer), Melissa Anderson (Finance VP), and Jaime McClain (Finance Admin) the Council served as the backbone of our organization’s financial health, supporting everything from event planning to strategic investments

With thoughtful oversight of our accounts, endowments, and financial procedures, the Finance Council partnered with committees across JLSP to bring our biggest ideas to life all while staying firmly in the black From the buzz of Care Fair to the creativity of Kids Create and the warmth of our Annual Giving Campaign, our finances made the magic possible

They also made collaboration a cornerstone of success By working hand-in-hand with the Board of Directors and Management Team, they kept our processes efficient, our strategy sharp, and our resources flowing to the programs that matter most to our members and our community

WHAT’S NEXT: BUDGETING FOR IMPACT

As we look ahead to a new League year, we’re keeping the momentum going with reviewing processes, intentional giving, and a focus on growing our impact. A YEAR OF LEARNING, GROWTH, AND CONNECTION

General Membership Meetings (GMMs) are the backbone of our League, offering members a dedicated space to connect, learn, and strengthen their commitment to our mission and the communities we serve This year, the Membership Development Committee proudly hosted seven impactful GMMs, each thoughtfully designed to foster personal growth and enhance our collective understanding of critical community issues

We were privileged to welcome five exceptional guest speakers throughout the year, each generously sharing their expertise to support our members’ development and broaden our perspective on community needs.

Marc Ervin from Evara Health kicked off our series by providing insights to prepare members for the annual Back-to-School Care Fair His presentation deepened our understanding of how healthcare access supports academic readiness and long-term health for underserved children

Heidi Davis from the League of Women Voters introduced us to their voter awareness app, empowering members to be informed, engaged voters ahead of election season. Her session underscored the transformative power of civic participation.

Kathryn Swinteck led a practical session on financial wellness, offering guidance to build a strong foundation for lifelong financial health an essential element of women's empowerment Members left equipped with actionable steps to take control of their financial futures

Brandi Morris from the St Pete Free Clinic shared her expertise on nutrition challenges faced by underprivileged children. Her passionate message highlighted the importance of food security for childhood development, academic success, and overall well-being

Dr. Susie Paterson delivered a powerful presentation on health disparities among vulnerable populations She inspired us to reflect on systemic barriers to wellness and how we can work toward equity and lasting change

NEW ACTIVE MEMBERS!

The 2024-2025 Provisional Year is coming to a close, and what an incredible journey it has been! This year, we welcomed the largest Provisional Class in recent years, and it has been a joy to watch these dynamic women grow, connect, and thrive within the League

We began the year with our annual Bus Tour, which offered Provisionals a firsthand look at the impact of JLSP’s partnerships throughout St Pete We visited four partner locations, learning about each organization’s mission and how the League collaborates with them to drive positive change The summer also included Care Fair participation, monthly membership meetings, and ongoing opportunities to learn more about JLSP’s mission and community impact

In the fall, we hosted our 4th Annual Provisional Retreat a day dedicated to team-building, camaraderie, and fun Through engaging activities, great food, and plenty of laughter, members strengthened their connections and deepened their understanding of the League’s work

Group Projects: Making a Meaningful Impact

Each advisor group partnered with a local organization to create a volunteer experience designed to support their unique needs The results were impressive and deeply impactful:

Kind Mouse: Toy drives and food collection to support families experiencing food insecurity

Christmas Toy Shop: Organizing and distributing toys to brighten the holidays for local children

Clothes to Kids: Collecting and sorting clothing donations to support children in need

Ronald McDonald House Charities: Volunteering time and resources to provide comfort and care for families facing health challenges
