GOLF FOR LIFE!

2 Weeks Until JGAA 100-Hole Golf Marathon Pledge your support for junior golf and the JGAA! The 12th Annual JGAA 100Hole Marathon is a just 2 weeks away and will be held on Saturday, September 21st at Bear Creek Golf Club! The JGAA 100-Hole Marathon is the single largest fundraising activity run by the JGAA all year. On August 24-25, the Junior Golf Association of Arizona held its annual Scottsdale Junior Championship at McCormick Ranch Golf Club (13-18 year old players) and Starfire Golf Club (12 and under players). Successfully avoiding the stormy weather that weekend, the tournament went off without a hitch. The JGAA thanks its sponsors the Scottsdale Charros, a special activity organization of the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce, and Sun Devil Trophy, a longtime supporter of the JGAA. A special thanks also goes out to all of the volunteers who assisted with the tournament. None of what the JGAA does would be possible without the help of its volunteers. Congratulations to the winners in each of their respective divisions!

The First Tee of Phoenix & LPGA*USGA Girls Golf of Phoenix The These Girls Rock! clinic with the ASU Karsten Women’s Golf Team was a great success August 24, with over 80 girls sharing their goals and dreams with the ASU Women’s head and assistant golf coaches Melissa Luellen and Missy Farr -Kaye. LPGA-USGA Girls Golf members and First Tee of Phoenix members and friends hit golf shots and learned some tips from the women’s golf team players and played challenging and unique games with putting and chipping. With the awesome volunteers and staff on hand, the event was memorable to say the least!

We are grateful for the energy and enthusiasm in helping grow the game for girls. A September 28th event has been added to the schedule and will take place at Ken McDonald Golf Course. Be sure to register!
