Kindergarten Readiness for Parents and Kids The initial kindergarten stage of school is one of the most important transitions in every child’s life. There’s excitement, apprehension and so much more going on in every child and his/her parents’ head. It is their first time away from each other. It is also a child’s first time in which they will be responsible for learning some brand new things that will stay with them for the rest of their life. At this moment, parents must try to ease the anxious feelings and be positive about your kids going to school. As parents, it is our job to keep up with the physical, emotional and mental kindergarten readiness about your kids stepping into the world, away from their comfort zone. • Physical readiness for kindergarten is something parents often tend to miss out on. There are fine motor skills that are extremely valuable as it is ideal for kids to be able to hold a pencil, marker or crayon. They should be able to draw, color and scribble on paper to get used to holding an object that helps you do so. It is a basic necessity for the little ones to be familiar with doing puzzles and being a part of other fun activities that also help them learn new things. Sending your kids to the best kindergarten school in India demands a readiness with gross motor skills like running, climbing and jumping that can also be incorporated into games. Yes! These skills will be improved upon once the kids start going to school, but it would be great if their practice starts before the start of their academic journey. • Before the preschool journey starts, kids also need to know what mathematics is and what role it plays in your life. They must know the basic counting through chocolates and ice creams and animals and birds. There are books that help teach counting with the help of colors, shapes, objects and more. Kids, learning to count and evaluate, is the most exciting and emotional thing to look at. • Kindergarten readiness also includes previous exposure to the areas of mathematics, arts and language, which can be turned into actual knowledge. School students find the most joy in reading and listening to books and nursery rhymes that add up to fun learning. They learn to sing and recite stories and rhymes. When kids listen to educational stories, they are prepared to step into kindergarten as well. There are number of funny, classic stories that children absolutely enjoy and give them a good exposure to stories, tricky and intrigue.

• If you want to send your kids to kindergarten, they need to be emotionally ready to act and respond to a number of social situations. Also, they should be introduced to words like please and thank you. Kids must also be introduced to their own frustration and anger and how it should be kept calm while in public. They should know that they are supposed to follow rules and take turns, no matter how friendly the place is. Kindergarten readiness has a lot to do with the community and neighborhood that your little one grows in. It has nothing to do with what preschool you choose for them, instead it only helps them get along with other kids in school.
