Former Irish Miss World Rosanna Davison to visit Mauritius

Despite the defeat of our beach volley team in the first round of the competition on July 28, the Olympics’ spirit is still high among our athletes. The Mauritian delegation comprises of 18 members, 11 athletes and eight officials, including staffs and coachs. Natasha Rigobert, beach volley team, was the flag bearer at the opening ceremony. Fabrice Coiffic, the Mauritian 100m specialist will be on the starting blocks on August,4. Mauritius havs a good chance for a medal in boxing where Collin and Lavigillante are competing. The former Miss World was at the St Geran when Michaella Harte was callously murdered on 10th January 2011. The celebrity daughter of famous singer Chris De Burgh usually visits Mauritius for Christmas and the New Year. Rosie says she cannot think of not holidaying on the island she has been visiting regularly since 1995 with her father and family. The former Miss Ireland does empathise with the Harte family and shares their loss and sorrow.
