EDUCATION 1987 - 1992

BFA /Graduation with Certificate of Appreciation and a Minor in English/Dance, Academy of Art University, San Francisco, CA

In 1992, based on my expression as an artist, I developed a program for the Epilepsy Society of San Francisco that combined journal writing with art making for self-dialogue and healing. I have been teaching and expanding this process through various themes and book making projects, including mail art, for over 25 years. In 2007, w/ Lou Ann Granger of Echoes des Voyages, we created www.destinyvoyages.com, and took this visual journaling process around the world. We took artists to Greece and Egypt on life changing journeys and created the term Visual Travelogue to express the technique of sketchbook, scrap book, visual journal, field guide. I have developed week long retreats, as well as planning every step of international travel. I teach one day workshops, ½ day, as well as up to 8 week programs for both adults and teens, as well as online through www.extremejournalism.ning.com
