So via this program we have to let them conclude the same and they should have confidence about their decision too.

Experience & Remarks

Same Venue Shakti was there and It was a unique idea to have another Training program for Jc Members who are getting chance to attend another Training Program from them who are accompanying Jcrts for Shakti. Again it was a successful training program in which many zone officers as well as Jc Members from whole zone were participating and enjoying the session.

6.1 Interview of Intl. Trainer Jc G. Balachandran

JCI India- NTTTS-2011 Assignment

6. Please interview a renowned trainer in person & send excerpts.

Excerpts from Interview of A Legendry Trainer Jc G. Balachandran Interview On: 23rd June 2011 Place: AMA Ahmedabad 1. How you started your Career as trainer, What Inspired you to become a JC Member ? Nothing inspired me to be JC member, actually one of my friends took me into Junior JC Wing, in 1972 I was student and Join Jr. Jc (Youth Wing) at Calicut when Vallabh ji was National President I was Secretary of JJ wing in Calicut was my first Chapter. 1975 I became the President of youth wing (JJ) but then I had to shift to Delhi for my MBA. Because of 2 years of youth wing then I become the chairman of Jr. Jc youth wing then I started shifting my entire outlook on myself. I was very introvert kind of person, I never use to talk to people but I started going out and then because of my academics and the career between 1975 and 1980 did not stepped into Jaycees. I was very busy in my studies and got my first job in 1978 and in 1980 I reached Jaipur. I was the Jc of Jaipur from 1980 for 2 years then I restarted as a Jaycee, still attached to Jr. Jc wing then I very actively involved, first year I was the member and 2nd year I got director of leadership development commission LDC after LDC started off I became LDC chairman that year I really performed to the extent possible because I love training from there I took off. 2. When you started your career you were not planned that you will be a Trainer or Not ? No I was in the marketing, after my years with Jaipur I came to Hyderabad, From Hyderabad I came to Bangalore on different Jobs I stopped Jcs becoz it was my career is growing up. After Bangalore I came down to Palghat. There I started Jcs again this is where I kicked off in Training in 1990 I was the president of the chapter and some of the seniors like Past National President S.R. Pai, My State President Jc Majeet I don’t know whether you know him was the Past EVP too. Both of them came in touch said why don’t you come become a trainer then I started, that’s the first year I became a State Trainer 3. That was the first year you thought about Trainer? No Trainer, Yes as a Part of my Life AS a hobby ? Not Even Hobby as a part of my Life ! I trained through out

6.2 Interview of Intl. Trainer Jc G. Balachandran

JCI India- NTTTS-2011 Assignment

Not as hobby, not in week days I work but Saturday and Sunday I devote for training 1991 I become area trainer and 1993 I become National Trainer. And in 1993 I switched over totally into training 4. Somehow Jc is the key what made you trainer Without Jc I was never been into this career, career would have been marketing I would have never come back into training only Jaycees made me a trainer because they push me up. The first two three year when I was shifted from Marketing to Training I had a big time, big financial problems, big risk , my wife was not working that time, two little sons, very very young sons, all these I manage came across to because of only jc members because they were hunt around and get me training program I used to be there main pride to I used to go out and train people, slowly I started moving out to Kerala After become National Trainer in 1993 I become Prime and Become excel in same year and National Trainer and prime in Same year and next five year initially we have some lag point as JCI was Concern internationally in 1998 I become an International Graduate (IG) in 2000 I become International Training Fellow (ITF) by then I come fully in Training. 5. What was your turning point in your career as Trainer what exactly motivated you to select Training as Career? State Level Workshop done by Jc S. R. Jain who was the Pilot Faculty at the end of the program I wa the most outstanding program and he mentioned there is one guy here whom I see, in whom I see an International Trainer, And I was sitting there and I was sitting as a participants, there was 32 participants and I was sitting as one corner S.R. Jain look at me and said there is one guy I see an international trainer and these 31 trainer and faculty members, state president and whoever was there everyone look at me, everyone knew me it was happen, that was the great inspiration, 1 time all of them looking into me that time I was decided I will become a Trainer, that these people think like that so why not me this was my turning Point State level Workshop 1990 adoor in kerala I still remember. 6. That is really great! Now I want to know who is your Guru? In Training I will definitely to a very Great Extent is Jc Sunil Kumar, Sunil Made me becoz I never used to design, I never used to write instructional objective, I never use to plan my training program, during my 14 years of Nalanda and the first three year when sunil was pilot, Sunil made me litteraly go through everything, he never did anything he said you do it. I had crushed him but I kept on doing things, that made me a proper trainer, Presentation shold be one aspact, design a program how to write a manual, how to fix up the schedule , how to organize, organizing, presenting and then deliver, evaluating the training program everything, he made me total trainer, My Mentor according to me should be Sunil Kumar Only 7. Who is your Ideal Trainer, The Trainer you had mate so far, at National or International Level who is your 1 ideal trainer if you have pick only 1 Sunil Kumar, without any doubt Sunil Kumar, I have couple of more names which come to my mind, I had one problem even throughout these training when I came to National Officers Training Seminar where I was matching my meets with Sunil Kumar, you must be knowing Subrato Ghosal he is the one of the most senior trainer , was training manager Bare India , I had to take along with them, I was scared, at that point of time Past National President K.V.Ratnam, he came to me and told Bala don’t worry, I also had the same problem, Just look at one thing, if they can be I can also be, You just look at them and tell they must have same passed through about this otherwise they cant stand like this. Just Look at these people, these people need me, that’s why they have called me, do it , that made a lot of difference this was the 2nd person 3rd person off course say professor from trichi the person is not known in the training service but he is wonderful becoz you know he said never leave ur ground, keep your feet on ground, you may go so

Jc JugalKishore Chhawchharia

JCI India- NTTTS-2011 Assignment

high but never go away from the ground keep your feet on ground, Keep your feet on the ground you should be always there you may grow up , the moment you leave means you are gone, Trainer should be always humble , this short of small-small tips here and there was made me, but non of the international trainer like really you know even I came with shiv kheda also non of them international trainer, non of them really inspired me so much as those Jc Trainers as I told you, some of them really powerful, just stand there and you know they command us and they have stuff , Jc Trainers have stuff, the only thing is they tied up with stuffs, JCI and JCI India you wont get back trainers, And in world Number 1 may be USA becoz they have facility number 2 may australia, newziland but I wont consider, right now Its India 8. If suppose you have to compete with a trainer to whom you like to compete, becoz people always like to compete with others to move forward to whom you like to compete? I will never compete with anyone. I always tell in my training programs that never compare yourself to any other trainer. Compare yourself with your previous business. I compete with myself. Yesterday, if am at number 1 position, I’ll go to the next position, I’ll go slightly to higher then me. If I start competing with other person, I’ll have that bitterness in my mind. Some times he will win, sometimes I will win, then why should I compete with others? He is having his own share, I am having my own share, nobody can take away my share. And still if am better then yesterday I am good. I am perfectly comfortable. I don’t compete with anyone else. 9. What’s your favorite subject in Training? The total gambols of communications, presentations, and my forte, my flagship program is “train the trainer”. Though, I do sales, marketing, CRM which is again Communications. Communication the total package. Plus, my Flagship is to train the trainer. I have done 68 train the trainer program, when I did last time in AMA. 10. What will be the sailing point for the Trainer? Never look at anyone else sailing point. Look for your own competence. You may be good in one, for instance, you just said me that you are good in computers, you stay there, never leave that confidence. That’s you unique sell bonus, or can say the USP. Keep on hitting on that. I kept on hitting on communication, and I wont it. I kept on hitting at TTT and I won it. I am very happy, if anyone calls me ““Bala” call him for TTT, call him for selling, call him for CRM, I have heard, he is one of the best”, Good. You keep on hitting on your confidence, don’t grip for any common selling points, for any common weak points, which others have, because you’ll be good in your own respect, others will be good in their own respect, you go for your own. 11. What are the 3 tips of points you want to give for all the upcoming trainers? Very Very Simple, 1.Never Stop learning, 2. Never stop training and 3.Never stop being humble, as they are making as trainer. If there are no participants, you are finished, you can’t train a vacuum. If you have to train people, never stop learning, never stop training and never stop being humble. 12. Is there anything that you can say that a trainer can understand better other then a general people? There is nothing like that, as trainers are also human being. Now again the competence level, may be I’ll be able to see the three dimensional feature of a problem, where as its single dimension that the other person see. I accept that in my competence, but in my own competence. But I don’t think that trainers can do better then any other person. The minute you think that you do better then the other person, you start falling. You have to admit that at some point or the other the person sitting there knows better then you. May not be in this topic, may be in other topic. I have seen some people sitting there, who were my bosses, my teachers and also my trainers previously, and if you think that you are better then them, you are gone. So there is nothing bigger person. Trainers will do something better, may be your presentation is

better, your attitude is better, your coverage of attitude, and your coverage of training is better, then it means that you are very experienced. 13. The three best things of your life? Three best things? The first is the very very excellent plan B, The second is my career with JCI in training, and Third is off course my present life, my family. Again I come back to my present life, I have come really to a stage where am really enjoying life. I have had very tough time in my life, but now I am enjoying my life, firstly with my personal life with my family, and second I’ll never forget JCI, because I have met with JCI even before I started my wife, I met with JCI even before I joined the organization. I have been with JCI even after leaving all the other organization. I will never forget JCI. Yes off course family is my first preference but second is always JCI. 14. Thank You! very much sir, now at last I want something for our upcoming trainers, specially for my batch mate of NTTTS 2011. I always said that the trainer, should remember two things: 1. Be the best trainer. 2. 1st impression is the best impress but the last impression has the last image, 3. My favorite T-Shirt quote, all the trainers should belong to 1st type of people in this world, that says “some people bring happiness wherever they are”. I think trainers should be that type, and they should never be the second type “some people bring happiness whenever they go”. So you should decide which type of trainer you wish to be. So the trainer should always work to be the “1st” the best trainer. I have always believed that no one can be a better trainer then “this” person, and I have always seen that then I have been a better Person. These things are the best, and I think they will do very well, because these days Interview is the must. I have never asked my participants to go and interview other trainers. I have never asked my participants to go to any company and work. I have never asked my participants to go and perform in National Convention. Since these few things are necessary in NTTTS, but I tell them that you people are very much better then when we started. So you will be better then us.
