2012 is speeding down the track. If history reTerry McGuire peats itself, May will be a blurred memory even before it starts. We begin the month on a sad note. We will be saying goodbye and God's speed to Judy and Sam Beam. They are moving to Idaho so they can be closer to their family. We are having a farewell dinner for them on Sunday May the 6th. The dinner will be pot luck following the church service. We hope they will be happy in their new home and spoil their grandchildren as is the right of all grandparents. We also will be having the usual events of Mother's Day, Graduation Day and Memorial Weekend. I have asked, and Mike has graciously consented, to fill in for me on Mother's Day. Linda and I are taking a one week vacation from May 814. Mike has never preached a Mother's Day sermon and said he is looking forward to the opportunity. I have one other announcement concerning May. On May 19th there is a baccalaureate service at 12:00 held in the school auditorium. I know that graduation day is hectic at best; but I would encourage you to attend this service. There are very few schools that still have any kind of service like this for their students. It is very important for us to encourage students and others to support these services because they are so rare. Please attend the Baccalaureate to support the administration's willingness to allow this event. May is always a month of new beginning. With Judy leaving we are reminded that we need someone to take over her work of entering the songs, announcements and other things to computer for our worship service. If you have these kinds of

The Southwestern College Professional Studies Center located just north of Pawnee and Rock in Wichita received extensive roof and water damage in the storm Saturday night. West Conference office: The Conference Office Building has a couple of uprooted trees and a few damaged roof tiles. Staff will return to the building on Tuesday to resume work. Electricity was restored overnight Sunday night and email and phones are working. We need helpers from our church for Thursday, Please remember to make your food or monetary donations to the Anthony Food Bank. The need increases all of the time.
We have supported this childrenâ€™s home and orphanage in the past. Can we help them through this time of need now? Anyone wishing to help may bring funds into the church office and we will send it down all at once or you may do so individually.
