ABOUT MY ARCHITECTURE: “Architecture as personal passion, for a collective benefit� This sentence is taken from one of my first classes in Architecture School of Sevilla and I think it defines perfectly our profession. A personal daily sacrifice in a form of passion, shown by drawings and sketches and made reality through the construction process. All this, combined, transform spaces and give them to the society, trying to find new space that improve the life of the people. My architecture is based in that, in looking for the service, in making the building fulfill its function. Simple shapes, clear routes, with the goal of make the user feel comfortable inside the new spaces and being identified with them. In my short career as student and now as an architect, I have worked in many different projects, from a single house until big master plans. I was graduated recently, in 2018, but that has not stopped me from working in several studios and offices during my student days getting a full experience in different fields of architecture. Effort, perseverance and teamwork are the words that define my young career.

PROJECT: MULTIPURPOSE BUILDING FOR UNIVERSITY OF THESSALY YEAR: 2015 (ERASMUS YEAR IN GREECE) LOCATION: VOLOS (GREECE) DESCRIPTION:

We are in the School of Architecture and Engineering of

the University of Thessaly in Volos (Greece). In this school, there is an ancient amphitheater made by the university and designed for shows in its origins and which today is left in oblivion and abandonment. This is a predominant piece in the field of the campus and its reuse is proposed integrating it with a new building that gives it the value it deserves. Contrary to all the proposals put forward by the rest of the students who leave the space of the theater to the outside, our project team proposes to integrate it inside this one and to give it the protagonism that deserves it granting the main use of the new building, the library. This will be complemented by new complementary uses that will give life not only to the theater but also to the campus. The volumetry of the building, as well as the resolution of its two main facades with curtain walls, make the building a new example of modern architecture for the city.

YEAR: 2019 LOCATION: PORTO (PORTUGAL) DESCRIPTION:

The landscape of the vineyard is somehow far away from

the city, but traditionally the vineyards have colonized the periphery of Porto throught the Douro Valley drawing a very picturesque landscape that has been lost as we get close to the city. The opportunity of bring this type of terraces to save the unevenness of the city to create a new image of the riverbank as it passes through Porto will be the main goal of the proposal. Connect the river with the mountain through nature and tradition in combination with innovation. An inclinated park that allows pedestrians to arrive from the river to the uptown of city of Oporto through vegetable itineraries.

PUENTE GENIL SPORT PAVILION - PUENTE GENIL (CÓRDOBA-SPAIN) SPANISH COMPETITION IN COLLABORATION WITH G&A ARCHITECTS SISTEMA DE PROTECCIÓN SOLAR EN FACHADA La fachada se compone de lamas de madera que gracias a su orientación sombrean o dejan pasar la luz en función del momento del año.

ILUMINACIÓN NATURAL Se luz natural durante la mayor parte del día al tener aper turas en las cuatro orientaciones, por lo que reducimos el uso de la iluminación artificial y conseguimos con ello el confort necesario de los usuarios de edificio.

CLIMATIZACIÓN POR ESTRATIFICACIÓN Teniendo en cuenta las altas temperaturas del municipio se plantea climatizar únicamente la zona de ocupación del estadio, generando una estratificación del aire, de manera que se alcan ce la temperatura de confort en todo el ámbito del graderío aprovechando la inercia del aire frío que tiende a bajar y generar una extracción de aire caliente en los puntos más altos de la cubierta.

POZO CANADIENSE Se propone utilizar un sistema de geotermia horizontal por aire, que consiste en una serie de tubos, colocados a una cierta profundidad, que recorren una determinada cantidad de metros por debajo de la tierra, por los que circula aire, permitiendo que ocurra un intercambio de calor, entre el aire que circula y la tierra que lo rodea. Teniendo en cuenta que la temperatura a una cierta profundidad permanece constante a unos 17ºC, conseguiremos con esto introducir aire en verano a una temperatura inferior que el aire exterior e introducir en invierno aire a una temperatura superior al aire exterior. Se tienen en cuenta la dirección de los vientos dominantes para la impulsión del aire que recorrerá dichos conductos y así reducir al mínimo la potencia del sistema de ventilación mecánica.

RECUPERACIÓN DE CALOR Se propone la instalación de un sistema de v en tilación mecánica controlada con recuperador de calor que hace que el cio respire de manera autónoma garantizando siempre una alta calidad del aire interior y recuperando la energía ya utilizada y la generada por los usuarios del edificio.

Se proyectan sistemas de captación solar en la cubierta que además de generar energía nos ayudan a protegernos de la radiación directa del sol sobre esta.

PROJECT: SAINT NICOLรS ORTHODOX CHURCH IN WORLD TRADE CENTER YEAR: 2015 (ERASMUS YEAR IN GREECE) LOCATION: NEW YORK (USA) DESCRIPTION:

We are in New York, in the area known as World Trade

Center and where a rebuilding of a neighborhood as main axis of the city is being doing after the terrorist attack in 9/11. Within this context it is proposed the redesign of the Orthodox Church of San Nicolรกs (fallen after the attempt) and its association to the park that will be known as Liberty park. It should be said that this project has already been approved by the council and it is under construction by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava; the challenge is to make an alternative proposal to the one already approved. Our proposal is to make a critical judgment of this project and propose a redesign of both the square and the church. The tours will take great prominence in the work, as well as the levels and the typical symbology of the churches. The new proposal proposes a deformed cubic form that houses in its interior GENERAL PLAN OF THE INTERVENTION

a more organic form that will surprise the visitor thanks to new openings of light previously studied.

They design a station in the cross of diferent neighborhoods and main streets of the city that would be completed by different office building surrounding it that finally were not com-

pleted due to financial problems. This issue makes some problems of mobility around the station that should be solved by a new project. In adittion, in front nowadays is not used due to this problem. With this situation, the new project around the station has to deal with all these complex situations. The new project has to include mix used building such as offices, market, public transport stations and housing.

The design of the new buildings around are related with the flows of people and vehicles. The project leaves a big space in the center that will conform a park that will be extended until the center and will guide the pedestrians from there to the station. This new green axe will be connected with secondary streets that comes from the same city. The “negative” part of this puzzle will be the constructed part.

The proposal has as a main goal the preservation of the virginity of the

big space of the industry. When there is so many done, trying to preserve, to touch the minimal, to respect the history. We tried to stablish some strategies that carry out this actions. A intervention that may be reversible with the time. A idea of preserve the monumentality, the origin, the architecture. This ideas taken from the architect Ignasi de Solá Morales were taken into account in all the process of design of the proposal. The main body of the project enter in the factory by occupying the only empty space left between the three levels of the factory. The new object will act as mediator of the new and the old. It is capable to be extended with the time in case of necessary, and being remove without affecting the old building in any form. This new object that we called “bicho” will be the program container. All the spaces demanded will be inside this new object, leaving the biggest program, the scape room, happening in the main space of the factory. A system of lightweight mobile panels made of Pladur (the company that sponsor the competition) will create different pavilions in the whole space of the factory, letting the user enjoy the spatiality of the factory and having different composition depending the need for program in the Scape Room.
