A b o u t m e Born and raised in the bustling metropolis of Rantoul, my passion for design took off in high school as I was persuaded by an all-time favorite teacher of mine, Mr. Ross, to join his web design course. After completing the class and realizing that this was much more than a hobby, I pursued this new love and joined the web club and yearbook committee. And yes, I even attended yearbook camp one summer, a story that never fails to break the ice. That passion carried me throughout my time at Illinois State University as I worked toward my degree in Visual Communication. I happily found myself at the School of Communication where I interned at WZND Student Radio for three memorable years, acting as the Director of Multimedia. Our department and our class made a lasting impact and we went on to win two IBA awards for Best Station Website in 2010 and 2011, both of which are proudly displayed on my mother's fireplace mantle. Now residing in Chicago, I have returned to my original love of all things creative. Focusing on identity and design, I find great satisfaction in strengthening the brands I represent while connecting with clients and target audiences. My love for visual communication grows as I continue to explore new technology and new ways to present the content I create.

30 WEST MONROE The Inland Steel Building at 30 West Monroe is an important landmark in Chicagoʼs Loop. The first skyscraper built after the Great Depression, it is also a defining high-rise born from modern architecture of the time immediately following World War II. Leased and managed by MB Real Estate, our team has significantly increased occupancy since taking on the assignment in 2012. Up 40 percent, the building is now 85 percent occupied. Recognizing the potential of the property for its architectural significance, efficient floor plans and recently launched renovation and modernization, MB Real Estate implemented a newly branded and aggressive leasing campaign to reposition the building, closing 13 leases in the last 12 months. On the next page, you will see an example of our final marketing push to occupy 30 West Monroe, in our search to find “The Perfect Fit”.
michigan plaza Located at 205 & 225 North Michigan Avenue and leased by MB Real Estate, Michigan Plaza is easily recognizable along Chicagoʼs Magnificent Mile. In 2007, MBRE implemented and completed a $10 million building renovation which included the public plaza, security system updates, elevator modernization, frameless glass entrance and the creation of the now signature red wave canopy. This re-branding was an incredible success; in 2013 it was announced that MBRE had completed more than 365,000 square feet in leases valued over $100 million at Michigan Plaza. Following this success, Michigan Plaza has now finished renovation on over 30,000 SF of spec suites. In order to effectively market the new available space, we implemented the “Why Michigan Plaza?” campaign to launch early next year. On the next page, you will see an example of our e-mail marketing that will be supplemented with mailers and iPad presentations.
j a c k s o n 200 West Jackson is located in the heart of Chicago's financial district at the corner of Jackson and Wells. Leased and managed by MB Real Estate, this building is home to a number of tech companies that appeal to Generation Y-ers. With this in mind, we set out to create a unique campaign to effectively market the newly available spec suites on two floors, totaling over 10,000 square feet. On the next page, you will see an example of the 200 West Jackson e-mail marketing which was supplemented with posters and social media mentions. This e-mail marketing campaign has been one of our most effective, with a consistent open rate 10% higher than average.
lasalle In 2013, MB Real Estate won the leasing assignment on one of Chicagoʼs historical landmarks. 208 South LaSalle, formerly known as the Continental National Bank Building, was designed by the famed architect Daniel Burnham in 1911. This building broke records as the city's most expensive proposed new development, exceeding $10 million. Completed in 1914, the 20-story building was also one of Chicago's tallest structures. Citing this propertyʼs rich and venerable history, MB Real Estate implemented the “Status Raised” campaign. On the next page, you will see an example of email marketing for 208 South LaSalle, which is supplemented by mailers, a new website, and a complementary “Write Your Own History” campaign to launch soon.

The MBRE Index is comprised of the last 30 Class A office buildings greater than 300,000 SF built in Chicagoâ€™s Business District (CBD). This set of buildings, which contains some of the CBDâ€™s most desirable space, serves as a leading indicator of office market conditions. As new buildings come online that qualify to be included within the index, older properties within the index will be replaced. The index will be updated on a quarterly basis.

CLASS A SPACE DEMAND Only four buildings in the MBRE index can accommodate a tenant greater than 100,000 SF. There are currently 18 tenants in the marketplace seeking space greater than 100,000 SF.
INVESTMENT ACTIVITY Many owners are looking to take advantage of the strong foreign investment market. On a SF basis, second quarter investment activity is at its highest level since 2006. Price per SF is the highest it has been in over a decade.
New additions to the MBRE Index will have the upper hand with large tenants (especially those in excess of 200,000 SF) who, with only three blocks of contiguous space space greater than 100,000 SF, have relatively few options of high profile Class A space. Large blocks at existing buildings will have until at least 2016, the earliest that major new developments will be delivered, to redevelop their space. We expect large tenants whose current space expires pre-2016 to seriously consider existing space as opposed to signing short term leases as they wait for new inventory.
