Damien Brandon Hello, my name is Damien Brandon. I grew up in Westerville, Ohio and graduated from Westerville South. After graduation, I went to Otterbein University and majored in political science, history, and secondary education. I have one child named Dylan, who is nine years old. In my free time I enjoy running, weightlifting, camping, softball, gardening, and community service. I came to Wilson because of the reputation of excellence and the great tradition. I have been teaching for thirteen years, and I currently teach 8th grade social studies.
Ann Hinkle My name is Baroness Annith VonHinklestein (aka Ann Hinkle). I have been teaching in Newark City Schools for 30 years. In the education world I am a dinosaur, but I bleed teaching so my plans are to continue for a few more years!
As a young dinosaur I was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio. My parents moved back to this area while I was still in college and I found myself in high school rival territory here in Newark. Alas, Newark was good to me and hired me in spite of my Blue Devil connections and I have been here ever since. Now, I cheer on the Wildcats with tons of pride!!!!
My college alma mater is The Ohio State University where I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I started working right out of college in Newark. I spent the first 13 years of my career in elementary 3rd, 4th and 5th grades, followed by intermediate 5th and 6th, then finally to the dream job here at Wilson. The first assembly after coming to middle school when I heard and felt all the enthusiasm, I just knew I was definitely in the right place. I have been teaching 7th and now 8th grade Science ever since. This year, however, is a little different for me. With the departure of my best friend and teaching partner of 21 years, Renee Coley, I moved over to her position in Social Studies. I cannot think of a better way to honor my friend. An interesting little tidbit is my father was a high school History teacher and my daughter has her degree in Education in History. Science will always be in my heart, but Social Studies is in my blood!!
At home I have a husband named Steve, a step daughter, Cassy, and daughter named Molly. We have 3 cats- Harley, Lotus and Snowy, fish, and a turtle named Myrtle. This summer my husband and I built a condo outside one of our windows so the cats could go out and enjoy the outside in the safety of a cage (because they do not have any front claws for protection). My husband and I just enjoy doing projects like that. The last interesting project was when we build a full sized coffin for our house for Halloween.

In closing, you have a very long life ahead of you (Grandad was 92 remember). I hope that I get to see as much of your 71 + years you have yet to go. Just in case, I consulted the magic 8 Ball on some predictions: Q= Will you and Trent be married? Q= Will you have kids?
A= Signs to Yes A= My reply is Yes
Q= Will you name the girl Elizabeth?
A= Don’t count on it
Q= Will the girl be in a sorority?
A= Without a doubt
Q= Will the girl be a Kappa?
A= Reply hazy ask again
Q= Will the girl be a Dee Gee?
A= Better not tell you now
Well, I guess we have it covered up to your child’s college sorority. I better hang around long enough to see how this plays out!!! I love you more than you will ever know!!!
