Members Together

Presentation by Mark Phelps, a well known local guide

Save the date: Christmas Party

We have the clubhouse at River Landing reserved for Friday, December 9 for our annual party. Hope this works out for all - not too close to Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Message from the President This is one of best times of year to fish. Less traffic and the fish are hungry. I have seen lots of good reports. I went out last week and caught quite a few trout myself. A couple of good events are in store. For our November meeting we have well known local guide Mark Phelps as the speaker. Mark will discuss fly fishing, and the best techniques for winter fishing. A few of the club members have recently gone out with Mark and had very good results. We have also had a spike in interest in fly fishing. Greg had a recent event to practice casting. Next on agenda is a fly tying seminar. Second event is our annual Christmas party to be held 12/9, 6PM at the condos near the sales center. We will again have dinner catered by Mozzo's. Mark this date on your calendars. A great event. We will also nominate the officers for next year. Enjoy the upcoming holiday season. Bill Lark

Fishing Report – Jim Brinkley RM Singletary and I went out for two hours on 11/3 in Martins creek. Caught eight reds and two flounder. Half were caught on artificial and half on mullet.

.

Fishing Report – Jim Lemcke It seems that I have been out a lot in the past month with friends and family. Shrimp season was disrupted by weather but we caught some and had fun. Trout weren’t always big but there have been lots. More fun. Kids didn’t catch many, but some. More smiles and great to be out among wildlife.

Fishing Report – Ron Silverman

FISHING GREG, FRED, RON We fished with Greg today 11/10/16. Cold and windy. Greg found some places out if the wind and we racked up on reds and trout. 30 fish day all on ZMan. Was great day! Ron.

Fishing Report – David White My neighbor caught a tagged 28” red fish. Haven’t caught a tagged fish in a while. Caught a bunch of keeper trout and over slot reds in the Wando launching at 5 and back by 7:30. Sundown Lures (right). Target Reds and trout. Fish about ½ hour before sunset until about an hour after. CAPT DAVE
