時間流逝築成回憶長廊,生命片刻頓成零散碎片, 然後,每當熟悉的旋律在耳邊悠悠奏起, 回憶走馬燈在腦海放肆迴旋,是甜是苦,湧上心頭。 「來年你共我或者長得太高,毋忘細望這絕版的海報...」 這一簡單歌詞,唱進心嵌,唱出心聲, 十五年來,Shine的歌聲陪伴多少人成長, 到今日,我們已告別「半成年」, 卻再會曾經的《半成年》。

Young, good-looking, and charismatic, Shine, have been a rage among the post-80s for years. Their songs are an emotional connection with the post-80s and post 90s, the lyrics go beyond touching your heart, they touch your soul. Their music evokes strong memories from our past.

論童年飲歌幾多、忘詞幾多,但《十八相 送》、《燕尾蝶》、《天又藍》等首首經典, 到今日總能哼唱出幾句,每當音樂奏起,嘴唇自然微 動; 2001 年,年僅十八歲的黃又南與徐天佑兩位男孩 組成二人男子組合Shine,於2002年甫出道便轟動香港 樂壇,一年內接連參演三部電影、推出《電影男孩》及 《心頭好》兩張唱片,其中《燕尾蝶》一歌更是唱到街 知巷聞,而在同年年尾的樂壇頒獎典禮上,Shine以「新 人王」之姿橫掃各大電台的獎項,雖然出道時間短,卻 獲得傳媒及大眾肯定,風頭可謂一時無兩。

十五年後的今日, Shine 迎來出道第十五個年頭。十五 年,在樂壇中稱不上長,卻足以改變兩個人——又南與 天佑臉上褪去昔日的稚氣,多一份成熟、多一份歷練, 但唱的,不單是他們兩人的情誼,也是八、九十後童年 中最美好的回憶。經過六次入紙紅館,排除萬難後, Shine入行十五年慶祝演唱會「Shine Moments Live」 終於確定在今年(2018年)3月2至3日於香港體育館隆重舉 行,在四面台上透過一系列耳熟能詳的歌曲,與歌迷們 盡訴這十五年來的喜與樂。

Their first claim to fame was the release of singles – ‘十八相送’, ‘燕尾蝶’,‘天又藍’, etc., these are the songs that you never get tired of. In 2001, Yu Nam and Tien You teamed up as a local Cantopop duo, becoming a teen heartthrob. Early hits like, ‘燕尾蝶’ appealed to pop fans, earning them Best Pop Cantopop duo award in 2002. After all these years, Shine’s songs still trigger vivid memories of the post-80s and post-90s.They are going to have their 15th anniversary concert “Shine Moments Live” this coming March at Hong Kong Coliseum.

Friendship Lasts Forever 世界變 情誼不變 友誼像千層蛋糕,每段經歷層層遞進,每層都是道不 盡的故事與底蘊,成就完美口感完美情誼。出道前曾 到日本受訓半年的又南與天佑,喜歡兩人結伴選購 CD 、觀賞 Live Band ,每日過著打打鬧鬧的生活。 曾因衣服亂放而爭吵,也曾因要將草莓放哪個膠袋而 鬧翻,縱使這一切已成往事,但他們仍然津津樂道: 「跟家人同住少不免會有磨擦,跟朋友、隊友同住 問題肯定更多;要迎合對方的生活習慣絕非易事...不 過,有火花方能讓彼此加深認識!」。 從「同居」開始,無論排練還是表演,工作還是假 期,兩人就像孖公仔一樣形影不離,直至2007年到達 瓶頸,為尋求更佳的發展機會,兩人單飛不解散,各 自於不同的範疇打拼,亦闖出另一片天。對於又南與 天佑而言,兩人一起,有人陪伴也有人分擔,是一種 依賴更是一種安全感。縱使他們明白到成長要學會獨 處的道理,但單獨的身影始終唏噓,「有段時間我隻 身到國內拍攝電影,當一個人靜下來的時候,發現天 佑不在身邊,總會回憶起往日一起工作,有說有笑的 日子...」又南感嘆道。 往事何其多,回憶的種種令人懷念,但突如其來的驚 喜,更叫人畢生難忘!無論經歷多少,往後日子如 何,第一次站在舞台上領獎的畫面依然刻骨銘心。 「那一年,我們獲得所有新人獎,對公司來說也算是 個交代,然後台上突然又傳來呼叫Shine的聲音,原 來是『最佳組合金獎』!」天佑笑說:「那一刻我們 都驚呆了,回到後台我跟又南、工作人員都忍不住眼 淚,這是大家共同努力的成果。」 若要用文字來概括這十五年間的種種,「在心中」是 他們的最佳選擇,就像又南說的一句:「我們的情感 無需多說,一切在心中!」。從相識到認識,從了解 到理解,無論在工作還是生活上,兩人都互相支持互 相鼓勵,友情已昇華到如親人般的關係。當大家都開 始步入人生另一階段,聚少離多,反而讓大家更珍惜 彼此間的默契;這次的「Shine Moments Live」演唱 會,某程度上亦是因「默契」而促成。

“We still remember the days we lived in Japan before we begin our singing career. It was a good opportunity to get along with each other” says Shine. They have been close friends for the past 15 years. Together, they face all the ups and downs in life. 2007 was a critical year for Shine, they were looking to develop, so went solo. Today, they miss the old days when they relied on each other and the wonderful moments. “Several years ago, I went to Mainland China to film a movie, when I was alone, I miss the days working with Tien-You, it’s certainly worth remembering. “says You-Nam. They recalled the most exciting moment when receiving the Best Pop Cantopop duo award in 2002. It was a recognition for their music and rocketed Shine to fame. “We were surprised and couldn’t hold our tears after winning the award. Our hard work paid off” says Tien-You. “Keep in Mind” is the best phrase to describe their relationship. Everything they have been through over the past 15 years is unforgettable. They encourage and have each other’s backs. They even seem more like family. It’s the reason they came up with the idea of having the “Shine Moments Live” concert.

對八、九十後來說,Shine所唱的一字一句,是情懷 也是集體回憶,總能引起共嗚。在闊別歌迷數年後, 二人於2012年的「黃偉文作品展」上重組亮相,連續 三晚獻唱他們的首本名曲《祖與占》及《燕尾蝶》, 旋即受到各方追捧,歌迷們要求Shine「復出」的呼 聲高漲;適逢 2012 年為 Shine 出道十周年,唱片公 司特別為他們舉辦除夕跨年演唱會「Shine Passion Live」,可惜的是,隨著演唱會結束,Shine這短暫的 重聚即暫告一段落。 工作到麻木,離開已習慣的舒適區往外闖,對兩人來 說可能是最好的選擇...當經歷更多、見聞更多,再重 新走在一起,更能擦出不一樣的火花。「這十五年的 經歷都是我們生命中重要的『 Moments 』,是時候 要跟大家一一分享!」又南與天佑異口同聲地說。事 實上,早於去年七月兩人已經有舉辦演唱會的念頭, 但大家都沒有實際行動踏出第一步,最後以不了了之 作結,直至某日零晨的一通電話,重新燃點兩人的熱 情。 「有晚零晨四時多突然接到天佑的電話,他第一句話 就是『是時候要做了!』,當我還在疑惑究竟要做甚 麼的時候,他又說『演唱會真的要開了!』,我才發 現原來大家一直都在想這事。」又南笑說。有時候, 明確地說出心裡話,總比埋藏在心底變成遺憾來得更 好。「若有任何一方覺得時機未到,這次的『Shine Moments Live』就沒可能辦得成,這應該是兄弟間的 默契吧!」天佑說道。 為讓歌迷們享受全新的視聽體驗,Shine與團隊特別 提早半年時間籌備與排練,更加插「Battle」環節, 各自準備秘密武器在舞台上決一高下,「希望大家能 一同創造回憶,讓這份溫暖情懷陪伴大家繼續走未完 的道路。」又南表示。時光飛逝,我們一直成長, 但無論回憶幾多、難忘幾多,生命中的「半成年」與 陪伴我們成長的《半成年》,永遠叫人回味。今年三 月,約定你,與Shine一同分享這十五年間的點滴。

Shine’s songs are the collective memories of the post-80s and post-90s. In 2012, they were one of the guests of “Concert YY” and performed their best hits “祖與占” and “燕尾蝶”. To commemorate their 10th anniversary, they held a concert of “Shine Passion Live” in 2012. They came up with the idea of holding a concert in last July and to make it happen next year in March. They love to share all the happiness with fans and celebrate their friendship which has lasted for 15 years. “One night, I received a call from Tien-You at midnight, he told me that it’s time to make it happen! We are going to hold a concert!”says You-Nam. “We don’t want to miss out the chance on performing our music, we are ready to reconnect with our fans” says Tien-You. To bring out the best in themselves, Shine and their crew have been rehearsing since September. There will be a “Battle” session in the concert, so stay tuned for more surprises. “Let’s make memories together!” says You-Nam. Sharing their happiness to bring more happiness!

echnology continues to influence the human life, as always. The printing industry seems to be a declining industry in recent years. The founder of e-banner Limited, Mr. Chris Chan. He thinks that there is not the declining industry, only the declining company. Actually, he graduated in hotel management, but he is aware the printing industry still has potential. Therefore, he gave up a stable job to develop his printing industry.

兩創傳奇 The legend of printing industry 甫踏入e-banner位於觀塘的總部,簡約的裝潢映入眼廉,這率性 隨意的氛圍,正好反映陳剛雄離開酒店的原因——嚮往自由。父母 為酒店從業員,修讀酒店及旅遊業管理的陳剛雄深明酒店業工作刻 板,又認為打工永遠無法讓自己更進一步,碰巧以往在貿易公司曾 接觸印刷生意,發現印刷市場缺乏專責於中小型規模印刷的廠商, 因而身先士卒,與兩位朋友創立自家品牌填補市場空缺。有見於傳 統印刷廠的營運模式為人詬病,陳剛雄採用「以快打慢」的策略, 透過網站落單的方式,提升顧客體驗之餘,大大加快生產工序,當 傳統印刷廠逐漸走下坡之際,陳剛雄卻成功闖出一條血路。 世界之大,無奇不有。為夕陽工業創出一片新天是為一個傳奇,但 何事可比這更傳奇呢?就是被自己一手創立的公司解雇,然後重整 旗鼓,由零開始重新創業!2014年,陳剛雄與朋友突然被剝奪公 司控制權,三人惶恐失意,曾考慮就此放棄,始終創業並非易事, 尤其是市場上已存在強大的對手,無論在資金抑或商譽上,都無可 匹敵。不過皇天不負有心人,在獲得本地上市集團e-print(香港主 板上市編號:HKG1884)的協助之下,陳剛雄以e-banner重新出 發,不惜工本引入最先進的噴畫機及切割機器,大幅提升生產效率 和品質,並在一眾新舊同事的支持之下,成功力挽狂瀾。 The main office of e-banner is located in Kwun Tong with a simple and clean design. This reflects the personality of Mr. Chris Chan, who is also seeking freedom. His parents work in the hotel industry. He understands the market lacks a printing company right now, and so establishing his own business would be the right way to go. Besides, he would like to use an innovative strategy to replace the traditional printing format in the operation. To use an online platform from order to the transaction, and so increase the production rate as well. He was dismissed by the company founded himself. In 2014, Mr. Chris Chan and his friends finally were lost legal control. This would be difficult particularly when facing lots of competitors in the current market. Fortunately, they had gained the help of local listed group, e-print(Hong Kong Main Board listed code: HKG1884), Mr. Chris Chan re-launched his e-banner limited with the most technically advanced machines to increase production efficiency and quality. All colleagues are giving lots of support to the company as well.

Compared to the traditional printing house, the main advantage of e-banner is its focus on the position of the “Mass customer”. E-banner never rejects any business, even the small profit of a banner or the large profit of a musical banner. Conversely, the traditional printing house only accepts the project of millions or hundreds of millions, which afforded by the general public. Therefore, they neglect the business of small printing, which is their blind spot. Of course, to benefit the target audience is important. Also, the high flexibility of using the internet is a step to being successful for e-banner. No matter when and where, just log in to the e-banner website to make an order. It takes two to three days and can be sent to the nearest branch for pick-up. They have sufficient manpower for handling the large orders as well. Especially for this online and offline interaction mode, that can apply in worldwide. Today, e-banner is actively expanding to the overseas market and has established their own factories in China and Malaysia for production.

設計概念上,以主題「天圓地方」貫穿「時間」,圓 形古時代表「動」,方形則代表「靜」,時間流動, 日月變更,均有其規律,一靜一動,追求的都是和諧 之美。因此,設計師以圓形圈著 3時位置的陀飛輪裝 置、 6 時位置的球體 GMT 兩地時間顯示裝置、 9 時位 置的小形表盤及12時位置的的18K金渾天儀造型球體 裝飾,最後以18K金的方形框架圍繞各時間位置的組 件,串連西方的高級製錶技術及中華文化的精髓,點 到即止表達「天圓地方」這主題。值得留意的是,渾 天儀造型球體裝飾與地球造型GMT兩地時間顯示裝置 營造出形象化的中西文化的精髓,令設計上加添點綴 及故事性。

Memorigin admires this adventure spirit that let the step forward and introduces this annual present to you - “Stellar Series - Imperial”. By spending a long time for preparation, Memorigin created a special sapphire glass only for this series to optimize the stunning effect of the rotating tourbillon and parts while visualizing through the sapphire glass from different angles. To look deeply, a highlight area is hidden in the tourbillon and part that a symbol of dragon is engraved. The dragon seems to be flying while the tourbillon rotated. A 3 dimensional case revealed in different angles, a 18K solid gold square boarder links 4 elements on the dial together with the flying tourbillon displayed at 3 o’clock position, the sphere shaped GMT Indicator located at 6 o’clock, the time reading sub-dial at 9 o’clock position and the Chinese ancient planetarium featured decoration at 12 o’clock position, projecting the merge of philosophy of China – round shaped sky and flat ground and Western World view. Curiosity drives human to strive for seeking the truth. Movement is the main core of a timepiece. Memorigin specially presented this automatic tourbillon movement for this Series; it provides 40 hours of power reserve, with frequency of 28,800 Oscillation/Hour. The flying tourbillion at 3 o’clock position, engraved with Memorigin’s logo on the tourbillon. L 柬 埔 寨 之 旅 從

柬埔寨回來,感觸良多。這次的柬埔寨之旅, 我與日本總代理中川輝先生主要的目的是參觀 和支持柬埔寨大學與醫院,這源自於我們日本的重要客 戶和大慈善家——深見東州大師;由他成立的基金一直 以來都大力支持在柬埔寨的慈善工作,所以,這次的慈 善探訪之旅,都有賴Handa Foundation的慈善團隊在當 地安排和接洽。

我們第一站是探訪柬埔寨大學 (UC) ,柬埔寨大學成立 於2003年6月23日,由高金華(Kao Kim Hourn)博士創 立,他作為柬埔寨王國總理府直管部長、柬埔寨大學創 始人與董事會主席,並同時出任柬埔寨大學校長,而深 見東州博士也出任柬埔寨大學的名譽校長。大學的校訓 是:「追尋知識、智慧,打造明天的領導者」。當天我 們到訪,高金華博士親自歡迎接待我們並分享了學校的 歷史和未來發展方向,接著我們再去參觀校園和不同學 系的大樓,校園很大而且設備齊全,為不同的學生提供 很好的學習環境。

然後,我們去參觀Sihanouk Hospital Center of Hope 和The Handa Medical Center。這兩家醫院都是由深見 東州大師的慈善基金捐助,為柬埔寨的醫療團隊提供培 訓優化及對當地的貧苦大眾免費提供最好的醫療照顧。 我們探訪醫院裡的醫生護士,並送上小禮物為他們打 氣。同時,我們也到醫院不同角落了解和探訪病人。我 感受到了一股股感人的善念和力量在醫院裡湧現,很多 醫療人員都是不求回報,盡畢生最大努力來照顧病人。 例如,我認識了一位名叫 Simon Everictt Stock 的醫 生,他原本在英國當手術醫生,享受著高薪厚職。但為 幫助有需要的人和無私的奉獻,他捨棄富裕生活來醫院 教育知識和救治病人,這種故事和情操深深打動了我, 讓我明白什麼是「捨己為人」的高尚品德。雖然這旅程 只是短短幾天,卻讓我畢生難忘。我更下了決心,在未 來尋找機會透過不同活動來為柬埔寨的教育和醫療盡自 己最大綿力去支持奉獻!

et me share more about my Cambodia trip. The purpose of this trip was to visit and support a university and hospital in Cambodia with the distributor, Mr. 中川輝. Based on our important client and charity donor from Japan, the Master 深見東州, who is supporting some charity work with his funding. Furthermore, we relied on the Handa Foundation to assist with the travel arrangements to Cambodia for this trip. The first place we went was the University of Cambodia, which was established on June 23rd, 2003. It was founded by Dr. Kao Kim Hourn. He is the Minister of the Directorate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Founder and chairman of the board, and the chancellor at the same time. The school motto is, ‘Seeking the knowledge, intelligent and shaping the leader in tomorrow.’ Doctor Kao shared some school history and plans. The university also provides different facilities for studying as well.

Moreover, the Sihanouk Hospital Center of Hope and the Handa Medical Center are sponsored by the charity foundation of the Master 深見東州, which aims to provide educational and medical services for the needy. We visited some doctors and nurses in the hospital, and gave some presents to them. I could feel their kindness and faith during our visit. It made me realize that a lot of doctors and nurses are giving their full effort to take care all their patients. For example, I met a doctor called Simon Everictt Stock, who previously was a surgery doctor in England with a high rank and salary. He wanted to use his time to help with education and saving others’ lives, instead of his urban material life. Hearing this made me understand and realize the purpose for living in those few days. Therefore, I decided to participate in different education events and medical jobs as well.

傳統的越南河粉加入大量九層塔、薄荷葉等新鮮香料,並佐以 魚露、青檸汁及紅綠指天椒作調味之用,但最令人難忘的,仍 然是那流傳自法國、嫩滑無比的生牛肉,以及清而不濁的牛骨 湯底。不過,就算不好肉食,以素代肉,依然滋味!本期《壽 桃麵書》繼續請來上門私房菜大廚Man教大家製作以素食為主 打的越南湯河粉,採用素扎肉、素蝦以及素魚腐取代生牛肉, 再以壽桃快熟河粉入饌,將經典的越南風味再現。

The traditional Vietnamese Noodle Soup is adding the Basil, Mint leaf as condiment, and matching with the fish sauce, lime juice and red and green for the taste. The most impressive thing is the row beef from France, and the beef bone soup as well. Besides, the vegetarian food could be replaced the meat as well. Man would be the chef for cooking the Vietnamese Noodle Soup with the vegetarian food in this issue of Sau Tao Noodles Book, and use the vegetarian meat, shrimp and prime fish instead of the row beef for cooking with Sau Tao Ho Fan as well.

為越南十大美食之首的越南河粉,看似材料簡單、 製法基本,卻融合中、法、越三國烹飪文化的精 髓,對廚師的功架也特別講究。不說不知的是,這道越南 「國食」其實是在20世紀初期,由廣東移民帶入越南後演變 而成,直至70年代後,隨著越南船民大量湧入外地並落地生 根,成功將越南河粉傳揚至全球各國。到今日,無論在東南亞 抑或世界各地的麵食之中,越南河粉都佔有舉足輕重的地位, 享譽國際。

After the 1970s, lots of colonialist were going out to everywhere and hence to expand the Vietnamese Noodle Soup in worldwide. 傳統北京烤鴨選用的是油性更高的北京填鴨,但使用片皮鴨,鴨 皮薄度更宜。將兩斤重的片皮鴨調味後以文火焙一小時,再「上 皮」,即塗上麥芽糖水,吊乾後放太空爐吊燒即成。鴨皮脆身甘 香,肉質不乾老。而薄餅方面,共有甘荀、粟米、菠菜及原味四種 味道,顏色怡人,取一薄餅置於盤面,夾入兩三片烤鴨皮、兩條黃 瓜條與少許大蔥,裹來吃,鴨肉的香脆久久回香,黃瓜冰脆,解膩 管飽。

粵菜中,海鮮向來是大受歡迎的特色食材,不過製作過程繁複,尤 其將之煎炸,更講究火候的控制。蝦頭經處理後打開一條刀線,高 溫油炸,以蒜頭、薑米加入餐廳秘製的海鮮豉油煎蝦 1 至 2 分鐘, 便大功告成。輕嚼一口,其鼓油調味非常入味,既甜也香,蝦肉內 嫩外脆,雙重口感,鮮美至極。由於蝦殼煎至香脆易碎,能輕易剝 除,對於懶癌吃貨來說,也是極其方便的。

作為龍苑中菜廳的招牌功夫菜,這道紅酒燴牛尾絕對值得一嚐。整道菜的製作, 共需三個小時之多。紅酒嚴選白蘭地品種,比普通紅酒的純度與精度更高,入味 更充分。湯汁粘稠,舀口而下,泛著番茄、西芹、大蔥與洋蔥的甜香。牛肉經過 蘸麵粉炸脆而變得絲絲相節,軟嫩之餘,毫無油膩,所有的味道都毫無保留,皆 能感受,充斥腔口。搭配的花卷,軟綿熱乎,沾著湯汁吃食,咸甜相間。

ira Moon is a distinctive and design-driven boutique hotel in Hong Kong’s prime shopping district, Causeway Bay. The striking feature is the hotel’s sweeping aesthetic that is a combination of the mythical Chinese Moon Goddess and the Jade Rabbit. Developed by the Wanders & yoo design studio, this aesthetic is felt in the way the hotel looks and sounds. The lobby, hallways, and rooms are adorned with traditional panelling and reliefs, which are combined with striking retro-inspired features, and finally peppered with quirky furniture. We sat down with the Business Unit Head for Hotels and Serviced Apartments, Kenneth Sorensen, to learn more about Mira Moon, and their story. Kenneth’s role touches everything at Mira Moon. He helps keep the entire team driven on the same path in concert to achieve and surpass their team goals as a hotel. His work covers the business side, marketing, and service staff to be consistent and the best they can be. He drives, but also directs innovation in all departments so they stay at the forefront of guest expectations. All of this energy pays off. It is no wonder then that Mira Moon is Hong Kong’s most awarded boutique hotel, and has even been recognised as the best boutique hotel in Asia, This means Mira Moon should be at the top of any traveller’s list.

With so many awards under their belt, maybe you will be puzzled, what is unique about Mira Moon that draws rave accolades and separates it from other hotels. Kenneth explained a unique aspect is how staff are fostered to be casual and comfortable. He pointed out he doesn’t wear a tie, and nor do his colleagues. The goal behind strategies like this is to make Mira Moon feel like you are in mine or your’s home being taken care off -Kenneth said it is like to dissolve the obtrusive gap between staff and guest. By bringing staff and guest closer together, the result is a guest experience that feels more natural and relaxing. This progressive staff management technique is indicative of the overall feeling of Mira Moon, that they are prepared to re-think tired hotelier creeds in order to surpass the status-quo.

A hotel has rooms and suites, but what else is there to entice guests and Hong Kong locals alike? To this question, Kenneth told us about Supergiant Tapas & Cocktail Bar, which is worth for everyone to visit. Supergiant is an exquisite tapas restaurant, with a wide selection of innovative tapas such as the Cucumber Quinoa with Avocado, which combines feta cheese, pine nuts and red radish resting on a slice of cucumber. Their knowledgeable executive chef even regularly travels to Spain to ensure the menu and the ingredients remain fresh and as appealing as possible. On the side are of course a wide selection of authentic Spanish and Spanish-inspired cocktails to drink. Before the end of an interview, Kenneth told us a important message: Mira Moon was already fully booked for Lunar New Year, over six weeks before the auspicious holiday. This he attributed to their great reputation as Asia’s top boutique hotel, but also the strong Chinese motifs throughout the hotel. Mira Moon is adorned with many references to Chinese mythology. There are symbols everywhere, like rabbits in the wood-work and in the lighting fixtures. Also, the lights in the lobby are representative of the story of Chang’s flying to the moon, and lunar shifts. These Chinese symbols give Mira Moon a great sense of peace and lineage, that understandably attracts people from all around the world spend their Lunar New Year.

“The 52nd Hong Kong Brands and Product Expo” (HKBPE) organized by The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong has come to a great finale. Customers are satisfied and had a wonderful shopping experience at HKBPE by getting wide variety products at great prices from more than 400 exhibitors, 800 booths. To surprise the customers, HKBPE organized an “Antiinflation promotional campaign” covering more than 100 offerings, including “HK$1 rice cooker”, “HK$1 abalone and dried seafood”, ”HK$1 dish washing machine”, and “HK$8 per inch TV set” successfully drew customer’s attention. 聖約翰教堂 聖壇最中央的視角被綠藍色窗牆沾滿,這裡貼印著 耶穌與十字架的故事。每一位牧師坐於前,身邊皆 有盞紅籠。他們不斷喃念著默語,歌著寧曲,宣布 耶穌的降臨。還有種很好聞的薰香,伴著禮水,一 直在身邊隱現。他們說禱告是一場贖罪,我想這水 煙氣正是賦予給我們這個機會。 我們同主講師的令語,時而拿起座位前的綠皮書一 起禱告,切換著樂譜、詩集和聖經。有一些讀來很 有道理,有一些卻還不解其意,但是最為和氣的是 每一節之後大家低頭合念的一聲阿門。所有的燈光 都是暖黃色,從高高的天花頂板拉出一條長線到頭 頂上空,人們的禱告又隨著這些長線導回,聲音在 教堂複返穿梭。 紅衣主師的面容最為安詳親和,和準備離開的教徒 比劃共知的十字聖號,用手淺碰禮水,點落在他們 的頭身。轉環一周,連一朵花的裝飾都沒有,所有 都與耶穌有關,連獨立旁側的聖誕樹都變得神聖, 隨著樂奏暗明與間。 旁觀來往人臉目情緒,突然有種迫切心看看自己的 本體。羨慕隨遇而安,羨慕赤條條來去無牽掛,原 是這般灑脫。

entral Hong Kong has one unique feature that distinguishes it from other CBD’s around the world -it still retains it’s original harbor roads. Scores of narrow streets ran from the old wharfs to warehouses inland to quickly move goods to and from ships. Today, Central retains many of these lanes, between Des Voeux Road Central and Queen’s Road Central in particular. Many are too narrow or unpractical to be open to vehicles, so are pedestrianised, and so tucked amongst the skyscrapers thrives many independent or unique stores in Central.

Li Yuen STREET WEST Continuing West are Li Yuen Street East and Li Yuen Street West, which are stuffed with more traditional market stalls. There are many clothing stalls for adults and children, souvenirs, belts, and toys for sale. Along the edges are retail spaces housing snacks, beverages and more clothing. Shopping here feels like Mong Kok or Prince Edward, but packed into the heart of Central. These dense alleyways hide some interesting and nice places, like R&R Bagel on Li Yuen Street West.

To search the alleyways I came out exit C2 of Central Station, then walked West along Des Voeux Road Central. The first alleyway to come up is Chiu Lung Street. Chiu Lung is littered with cha chaan teng of all types. I chose Wing Lok Yuen Restaurant, which is famous for it’s hot dogs, but I went today because it has a basement area, which I have never seen in a cha chaan teng before. The downstairs has wooden paneling and painted pink walls -with good coffee it struck me as the ideal bomb shelter. The food are finely honed classics; like fried ham in macaroni soup.

The Center

In the middle of the journey is The Center, a skyscraper and one of the tallest buildings in Hong Kong. The Center’s podium stamps itself across the city block, and you can even see truncated alleyways like Tung Man Street that lead about 30 meters in before being cut off. Going upstairs onto the podium is worth to feel the contrast with the alleyways. The podium is a kind of life-size kaleidoscope -meant to only be looked at- the pillars, escalators and support beams are all coated in mirror surfaces. There are no shops here, no activity, just a smoker’s den obscured by corporate-greenery.

Connected to the podium, is Gilman’s Bazaar, which has more variety of shops than the earlier alleyways. In Gilman’s for example there is a camera shop, and of course a great variety of more eateries. Next along is Wing Kut Street and Wing Wo Streets, two alleyways joined by a shopping arcade in the middle. In both these alleyways and the arcade there are many jewelry and Jade outlets, among a few other things -like Cheung Chau Mochi in Wing Wo Street. Amongst the skyscraper-glitz, the alleyways of Central are an oasis. In them you can find real Hong Kong food, a hidden café, affordable apparel, and a bit of history.

BLADE RUNNER2049 B lade Runner 2049 is set in a future where bio-engineered humans -called replicants- are manufactured to do most of the world's dirty work. Replicants are nearly identical to humans, they look, sound, and move just like real humans. If you spoke to one, you wouldn't even know it was an engineered human. Replicants are near-identical to humans in every outward way, but are treated as machines. They do all the hard and dirty work that no one else wants to do. The story follows a replicant named Officer K, who works for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). And the movie begins with us wondering, what kind of life does K live? K goes to work, talks to people, and drives his flying car. When he comes home, it isn’t some electrical socket in a closest, but K lives in a regular apartment. When K is at home he even has a holographic companion he talks with, and a daily routine to relax after work. It seems that K is living quite a human life. But everything K does is ultimately the product of sophisticated programming. He lives like a human because he has been engineered to do so. So no matter how similar K may live to us, in the end his designed programming is merely imitating a human life. We are left wondering, what would it take for K to be alive as if a real human?

K looks and feels alive, he can make decisions like you or I. K even has some feelings like sympathy, or boredom, or being fed-up. But he is still living in a routine dictated by his creator. This makes K’s life rather hollow, and his emotions kind of without orientation. While K can display and feel sympathy to someone, it is without reference to some higher order of what is right or fair. No matter how technologically advanced or sophisticated, K’s decisions, thoughts, aspirations, and emotions, are always a pre-determined output of software code. K is not really in control of anything he does, he is merely going through the motions of what a human would do. The way he lives as a human has been engineered into him, not chosen or decided. It is K’s job to search for replicants who have broken the law, and through the opening scenes we watch K pursue the trail of fugitive replicants. But through his investigation, K discovers a familiar wooden horse that makes K question everything. K remembers the horse from his childhood, but objects from K’s childhood memories cannot be familiar because K’s memories are all fabricated. K has a choice. He can ignore the horse

and continue as he had before. Or he can choose to investigate the wooden horse and his own strange memories. In making the choice to derelict his duties, K gains a purpose, direction, or meaning in life. This purpose goes beyond his prior daily routine as a police officer. This purpose gives K a goal he believes in. In pursuing this goal, K quickly derelicts his previous duties, and gives up everything he has for his beliefs. By making a choice to pursue his purpose, K’s actions are no longer the result of empty programming. Guided by what he believes in and the choices he has made in the past, his actions and choices supersede his programming, and so he becomes just as a live as any human. No matter how advanced or human-like K’s mind and body are, it is only when guided by purpose and meaning that K is really alive.
