Crime scene tape is everywhere. Fake blood splatters a large tile behind a CPR dummy that lies half covered by a tarp on the floor of a lab in Coulter

Hall at the University of Mississippi. To the left of the dummy near several shelves filled with many jugs of chemicals and hundreds of glass beakers and test tubes lies a bright orange revolver and shell casing. This was a murder and the kids at the

American Academy for Forensic Sciences (AAFS) CSI Camp are the only ones who can solve it. A group of students participating in the camp come in and examine the crime scene. The young crime scene investigators

mark all potential evidence with numbered, bright yellow evidence markers. It is Monday afternoon and only the beginning. Over the course of the week, students will be learnTURN TO CSI PAGE 7
