Vodafone Malta Foundation chips in at the Puttinu Cares Football Marathon Several Vodafone Malta employees participated actively in the Puttinu Cares Football Marathon, an annual fund raising marathon held at the Marsa Sports Grounds. Vodafone Malta Foundation presented a €3,600 donation which is part of a total sum collected through the Vodafone Employee Contribution for Charity Scheme, where employees make a monthly contribution taken directly from their salary towards different charities.. “Through this donation, the Vodafone Malta Foundation together with Vodafone employees would like to show their appreciation to the dedication shown by this association in its altruistic mission,” said Roberta Pace, Administrator at Vodafone Malta Foundation. “We believe that we should all work together to help those in need and we hope that our donation will encourage others to follow this example.”

The 12th edition of the Puttinu Cares Football Marathon raised a total of over €1.3 million funds that will pay for and maintain apartments in Sutton to help patients requiring treatment for cancer in the UK and their relatives. The marathon included a weekend of fun and solidarity dedicated to children and adultsalike. The weekend included varied entertainment with clowns, jugglers and magicians giving all

This invaluable contribution will help raise funds to support an increasing number of children and families who are passing through very difficult times.”

The aim of the seminar, entitled ‘Ecommerce – The way forward, Opportunities and Implications’, was to explore the benefits and challenges of ebusiness. BOV team volunteers at Dar tal-Providenza Article By: di-ve.com news In an opportunity to help Dar tal-Providenza residents, a team from Bank of Valletta’s Customer Service Centre recently spent a day of voluntary work refurbishing parts of Dar tal-Providenza. “This BOV activity was a truly inspiring opportunity for the whole team,” said Head Customer Service Centre Karl Spiteri, whilst presenting a cash donation raised by the team to Fr Martin Micallef, director of the home. “It made us appreciate the smaller things in life which we usually take for granted. Away from our day-to-day jobs, it felt positive to be giving something back to the community.” The activity is in line with Bank of Valletta’s commitment towards worthy initiatives within the community in which it operates. The Group is involved with many significant philanthropic activities – and has been a staunch supporter of Dar tal-Providenza over the years particularly during the annual BOV Volleyball Marathon which will take place in the car park of Dar Tal-Providenza, between July 5 and 7. “On behalf of the residents of Dar tal-Providenza, I would like to thank Bank of Valletta’s staff at Customer Service Centre for choosing to do a day of voluntary work at our homes, and also giving us a generous donation.
