We will go over your timeline, the style of photos you’d like to receive, all the little details and anything special you are planning Before the Wedding We will keep in touch the weeks and months before your wedding so that I can stay informed of your plans and any changes that come up after our consultation. What to Expect Bridal or Trash the Dress Session These photos are for fun, you can pick from either type of session. A bridal session will be a pre or post wedding session resulting in gorgeous photos of you in your gown, with your flower hair and makeup included. Trash the Dress sessions are similar, however they are done after the wedding and are quite different, as sometimes brides like to go all out and get muddy, jump in a lake etc. SO much fun! After the Wedding That’s when you head off to your awesome honeymoon and while you are out there relaxing and living it up with your new spouse, I’ll be making sure your photos are polished and prepared for your proofing session. We will hold the proofing session about 3 weeks after your wedding.

Tips on how to make your wedding photography better on the day of the wedding •

Have your maid of honor get all of your “details” together in one place. These details include your dress, shoes, jewelry, invitation, etc.

Do not get into your dress, or even be finished with your makeup before I arrive. I want to photograph those moments for you and I’ll need some time while you’re getting ready to take all of the detail pictures.

Unless your makeup artist brings true white makeup lights, make sure your makeup artist is doing your makeup near a window and in NATURAL light. This is not only important for your getting ready pictures, but crucial to how your makeup actually turns out. Most artificial lights are yellow in color making your pictures not so flattering during it, and sometimes affecting how your makeup looks overall.

Ignore me! I’m there to photograph you being you during most parts of the day, so, ya know “act natural”.

Make sure you’ve relayed the game plan to your bridal party and family members. There’s nothing worse than hunting down family members for pictures or dealing with a grumpy groomsmen because they were unaware that they should’ve eaten prior to the ceremony.

If possible, seat us as guests at the reception. This is beneficial for you because then we never need to leave the room to go eat so we never miss a beat. We’ll also eat at the same time as you do instead of afterwards, so we won’t need to be outside eating while fun dancing shots are going on. It’s also helpful to keep your reception hall looking neat and clean because we can hide our camera gear safely beneath the table.

What’s Next I cannot WAIT to work with you and your fiancé to prepare for your wedding day! As soon as you are ready to book me [i.e. Have your date and location secured] then give me a call, or shoot me an email or lets Skype; we’ll set up a time to go over the contract, get that all signed, discuss your collection and coverage needs and I’ll take your retainer (60% of your coverage fee) The retainer and signed contract are all you need to secure me for your wedding day; we can always figure out the coverage specifics later as long as your final payment is made two weeks before the wedding, we are good

FAQs I love your style, do you offer studio shots? Ahhh!! If you insist, yes, we can use an inside studio backdrop, if you have a good reason to need that… hehe

Do you offer prints, or should I get them? Yes I do! After the wedding, we have a proofing session where you get to review and pick whatever prints you want

What is your philosophy when it comes to your photography? That’s easy! I’ll sum it up with 4 points: 1) Not look local. Nothing against other photographers in the area, of course, as there are definitely some great ones, and that’s not what I’m referring to… I just love it, though, when I get messages like “You’re seriously from Nigeria?” 2) Bring an alternative non-boring look to whatever we shoot, from weddings, to dancers. I like taking a wedding, setting up a group shot of the wedding party, and shooting it as if they were in a band, for instance, hehe. 3) Deliver a very high quality product, for far less than comparable photographers. I’m not one to undercut competition (as that isn’t an honest practice, definitely), but I love giving my client something that they’d normally pay 2-3 times as much for, for far less. I love photography, so I get a lot out of shooting, and my clients love my product and prices, so they do as well! hehe 4) Lastly, have fun! Shoots can always be stressful for those involved (especially for weddings), so my assistant and I always love to joke around, and be very relaxed at the same time.

Do you offer wedding albums? That we do! Send me a message, and I’ll send you our full price list, which has more information dealing with that.

FAQs What do you look for in a client? What? I get to choose? Amazing! Hehe, it’s quite simple. I prefer clients that prefer me, not for my price, but for my product. I was reading a friend of mine’s blog the other day, and read his philosophy on that, and it summed up how I felt quite perfectly. I want a client that enjoys my style, wants something edgy, and as far from traditional as possible… Something professional, but very artistic… Something unique, and not local looking, while still being local. If you fit the above guidelines, then please, send me a comment, and lets create something amazing!

What is required to book? It matters what type of shoot we’ll be doing. Are you booking a wedding? If so, we’re requiring a deposit of 60% of your total cost to officially save the date, which keeps us from giving your date to another client. I get tons of emails asking when we’re available, so make sure to get your name down in the calendar as early as possible. Are you booking any other shoot, or design project? If so, we require a deposit of 50% of whatever I initially quote you! All deposits, a policy that every other photographer or designer uses, is non-refundable, of course. Easy enough, eh? hehe

We’re having a wedding in (insert name here of far away town)… Can you still shoot it? Of course we can! We love destination shoots, and weddings. All we ask, in return, is a few favors! Here’s what they are: 1) NGN5000 per mile traveled, there and back, to be added to the final payment 2) Hotel room, or place to stay, if it will be a late wedding, so that we won’t have to drive back, while sleeping… hehe And, on rare occasions… 3) Plane tickets for 2, if it’s extreeeemely far away (as in more than 8-10 hours of driving, from Lagos to your city of choice) If the location is extremely amazing, and everything is provided for us (travel/room/etc.), then we might even shoot your wedding for a big discount! If that doesn’t answer your question, or if you have any others dealing with travel, feel free to contact me!

FAQs What happens if we’re running late? a. I suggest time-lying everyone ahead of time to give yourself a buffer of at least a half an hour. But if you are late, don’t fret, nothing starts without you! What family pictures should I tell you to take? a. Don’t worry about that, as long as I have the names of your immediate family members and their relation (please let me know if anyone is divorced too), which you will have listed in the online form, I’ll do that part for you. Just let me know if you planned on doing anything outside of the immediate family (aunts, cousins, the fiancé of your 3rd cousin twice removed, etc.) :-). What if I’d like to have a family picture during the reception? a. Feel free to tap me on the shoulder at any time once you have your group of people together that you’d like photographed. You can also put a request like this under the “Special Requests” section of the online form so that I can remember it for you. However, keep in mind that between finding people at the bar, hunting them down in the bathroom or dragging them off the dance floor, each reception picture usually takes 10-15mins, so I highly suggest limiting the amount of group pictures that you take during the reception. How long after the wedding will I see my proofs online? a. Typically your same-day-edit pictures are up online and on Facebook within a week from your wedding and then your proofs are finished about 3-4 weeks after that. During the busy season, it may take up to 6 weeks, but I do try my very best to not let it go that long. What happens after the wedding? a. When the day is over and done, I’ll e-mail you with some next steps on starting your thank yous and keep in touch from there
