Performance Directions Mute In the second movement, strings A4 to A5 should be muted using blu tack. A small amount should be used, to make the string sound somewhat like a gong. This mute is removed in the middle of the movement, with the left hand.
Detunings The strings in the figure below left should be tuned 50c sharp. These quartertones are indicated with up arrows altering their accidentals, such that C quarter flat is played as a C flat, as indicated in the figure below right.
