Work Review BOG, CO Architecture + Design

I’m truly passionate about the city and its transformation. I’m an architect who loves trouble and enjoys finding helpful solutions. Nothing is too complex for architecture, and our daily life gets better as our cities get stronger through their buildings. Digital tools make us stronger and that’s why I love the logic and structure of digital architecture. Designing, 3D modeling and rendering are my daily doses. There’s nothing better than being a leader, and architecture is the best tool I have as a professional to help and encourage the one who seats besides me.

“Fast Lane” - Undergraduate architecture thesis In Bogota, the lack of public facilities for sports and culture makes very difficult to develop children personal growth through these activities, that’s why it’s very important to use architecture as a solution, so the economically less privileged social areas can get involved directly with these activities related to education, so the young and youth can acquire various tools for their personal development that help them promote their social and economical growth. The main objective of this investigation is to promote the “Fast Lane” as a personal, economic and social fast development tool thought sports and culture, creating a model of public facilities that build a urban network and enable the specialization of different sport disciplines in four vulnerable areas of the city, in order to reduce the economic and social unwanted conditions of these places and reaching the decentralization of the competitive sports development in Bogota.

Solar Decathlon 2015 - Architecture first place award “PEI Team understands the development of a collective sustainable housing proposal as an opportunity to test a real alternative of social housing. The Cultural Machine, as we call our house, aims to be a proposal that includes a lot of elements that can benefit people in vulnerable situations. This project is intended for people who need a decent space to live, but their economic, social and cultural situation doesn’t allow them to have it.

BID Urban Lab II - Second Place Award “¡Pa fuera, pa la calle!” is a way to improve the public spaces that offer a very high connectivity through tactical interventions. These adapt to the climate and create sceneries for the social development through ludic events, rescuing people’s identity and increasing the local productivity using creativity and culture. This benefits the whole population, and projects Pescaito into a touristic circuit in a bigger scale, so their economic, environmental, and social sustainability improves with the territory.

Workshop: Archizoom “No-Stop City” “«No-Stop City» (1969) is an ironic critique of the ideology of architectural modernism taking onto its absurd limits: «The real revolution in radical architecture is the revolution of kitsch: mass cultural consumption, pop art, an industrial-commercial language. There is the idea of radicalizing the industrial component of modern architecture to the extreme.»“ (Branzi)
