FADE IN: EXT. THE PACIFIC OCEAN - MIAMI, FLORIDA - EARLY MORNING Drifting on a boat, a TV crew shoots for a TV show. A Miami-Dade Police boat overseas the set in case of emergencies. The show’s host KYLE WILLIAMS talks into the Go-Pro held by JENNIFER ‘JEN’ SMITH. WILLIAMS My name’s Ky Williams and welcome to Treasure Hunter. On this week’s episode we’re in the Americas, 300 miles off the coast of Florida to be exact. I’m especially excited about this one, so let’s jump right into our story. And the tale goes...In 1715 in the continent of Africa, a legend spread of a Chieftain so powerful that for years he defeated any slavers he encountered and evaded any he knew he couldn’t defeat. However, “his huge size, immense strength, and keen intelligence” only made him more of a trophy to the slavers, and eventually the Chief was tricked. Knowing that the Chief was looking to reload his ammunitions, slavers found the Chief’s gunrunner and forced his cooperation in capturing his number one client. The gunrunner offered cannons to the Chief, but told him they were, supposedly, too heavy to bring on shore. Now on board, the Chief and his men shopped while being wined and dined, as the anchor was hoisted and the ship took off. The powerful Chief was finally captured. But while on his journey to the new world, the Chief found an unusual friendship with an ambitious white sailor. This sailor would later wage a coupe and proclaim himself Captain commanding several ships. (MORE)

2. CONTINUED:

WILLIAMS (CONT'D) His name was Blackbeard, and he would help the Chief evade capture once again. Granted 2 ships, the Chief, now pirate lord, and his men set sail to the colony that would’ve sold them as slaves. Virginia. The colonists would call the Chief, Black Attila, due to the brutality of his raids. But after nearly a decade of terror, his ships were lost in a horrible storm off the coast of Florida, along with his treasures...Fast forward to today, we’re here between Miami and Cuba because this is where the Gulf of Mexico’s largest current, the Loop, exits into the Atlantic Ocean. And we believe the Loop, overtime, could have pushed some of the Chief’s lost treasures into a few shallow trenches we found in our last episode. Now, enough of me yapping let’s see what we can find.

Williams and Jen dive into the ocean and down towards the small trenches. The deeper the TV crew dives the darker it becomes. Suddenly, a large fish sideswipes Williams out of nowhere. He sign languages “I’m Okay” to the crew and proceeds until finally reaching the trenches. Williams catches a reflection in the darkness and dives towards it to find a large black plastic bag. With the crew behind him, Williams opens it and discovers the bodies of a female teenager and a middle aged woman both wearing white cloth. CUT TO: EXT. DADE COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT - MIAMI - MORNING A block down the department, 2 AGENTS sit in a tinted car and watch Detective Yordanis ‘Ciego’ Guerrero smoking a cigarette in the precinct’s parking lot. Ciego’s waiting for his partner and drinking Cuban rum out of a flask to pass the time. Detective Vincent ‘Vin’ Lee finally arrives and steps out of his car.
