LAMP This lamp is constructed with polypropylene. Using the opportunities of the material gave this result. I used some techniques of origami to gain the right form. By using this pattern, the lamp can be transported in an compact way.
AIR FRESHENER The goal of this assignment was to redesign an existing product to a more ecological version. We had to strip down the existing air freshener to its essentials and implement characteristics of another brand. For this design the product was the Ambi Pur Car and the chosen brand was BMW.
PERSONAL CONTAINER This work is created together with Sam Smedts as an assignment for the course ‘Form Semantics’. It is a personal container for a hitman. We had to apply a certain styling that matched our persona. In the container the hitman can hide a knife, poison etc.
CAULK GUN The caulk gun is redesigned with a focus on ergonomics. The handle fits better to the hand and there is less pressure needed in this design. A second zone for the other hand was created on the front of the gun to improve the precision of your work. It had to fit in a series of hand tools which was created with Sam Smedts & Laurens Van Glabbeek.
WORD CATCHER A word catcher is a device that processes words to a spoken story or poetry in 24h. The device had to illustrate the process in a subtle manner. The main focus in this assignment where the controls of the product. The experience of using the product was the most important. It is created in a collaboration with Laurens Van Glabbeek.
3D STYLING In our training we learn to work with Solidworks. One of the courses was focused on styling objects in 3D. We had to make a dinosaur and some speakers based on existing brands. The software used to render is KeyShot.
SOLAR WAX MELTER My graduating project for my bachelor’s degree was an assignment given by The Bee Factory. They use solar wax melters in Ethiopia but wanted to expand their capacity and improve the efficiency so asked us for help. My design drivers were: compact foldable, lightness and quick & easy assembly.
LES ETALAGES In my spare time I was involved in the ideation of the start-up les ĂŠtalages, founded by my sister. It is a website where you can make your own shopping street with your favourite webshops and discover new webshops. For this website I did some graphic work as well and created the logo.
