HISTORY The month-long celebration of science and engineering, which culminated in a five day Exhibitions which took place in Thohoyandou Indoor Sport Centre and Town Hall (2010 & 2011) and Makhado Show Grounds (2012), were catalysed by the National Science Week (NSW 2010, 2011 and 2012) in Tshipise and the surrounding areas, Hydrogen Fuel Cell Public Awareness in almost all parts of Vhembe Municipal District, in collaboration with 50 plus of the nation’s leading science and engineering organizations. Nearly 30 000 people participated in over 10 science and engineering inspired events in four Local Municipalities, generously supported by corporate, government, foundation and media sponsors
We work with Science Centers, Museums, Schools, Government Agencies, Universities, Research Organisations, Businesses and Individuals to stage events aimed at raising awareness and benefits as we reach as many youths as possible. There is a direct correlation between a nation’s wealth and its well exposed youths to different career opportunities before they can enter tertiary education and also to maintain those that are already in the system. Awareness in the form of career exhibition like this one will help in the promotion of those careers which were not accessible by black people in the past such as Financial Engineering, Space Science, Veterinary.
