HELLO MEL, GOODBYE YYZ Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Jordan Astra finished University and moved to Melbourne, Australia; pursuing his first love, career and a new adventure. Since his move to Australia, Jordan has dedicated himself to his passion: song writing, mixing and producing. This journey has also seen Jordan delve into vocal training, allowing him to explore more opportunities with his music through singing. Hugely inspired by the likes of The Eagles, Steely Dan, Pharrell, Miguel and Zero 7, these influences can be heard throughout Jordan’s music. When music inspires him, it’s all about the details: discovering what makes the song and the artist so great. “My goal is to be recognized as one of the great musicians of this generation. Whether that be producing music and working with other artists, or making music for myself and touring the world. This is my purpose and it’s what I’m called to do.”

PROJECTS PROJECTS Within the past two years, Jordan has released two significant projects; each written, produced and performed by him. The Longest Distance consists of 9 songs and was released in September 2016. The album is a very personal body of work that speaks to the highs and vulnerabilities of taking that first leap into music and sharing it with the world. Recorded at Base Studios in South Melbourne, Jordan worked with Phil Threlfall who is a legend in his own right. The entire project was recorded in just 11 hours. Favourite Song: WAYS ASTRO consists of 8 songs and is Jordan’s latest project released in April, 2018. Recorded, produced and written in the first house he ever owned, Jordan began to refine his sound, curating the project under his new label Rollers Rights. ASTRO also features Jordan’s first song collaboration, singing alongside fellow artist Hayley Teal in All Again. Favourite Song: Ask For Much
