Meet Jontell! Hello! I’m Jontell and I’m the owner and lead photographer of Jontell Vanessa Photography! I’m so excited that you’ve reached out; I like getting to know my clients because it is the #1 way to ensure an awesome experience! First, I want to tell you a little bit about me, so here are a few things you should know!
- I’m a proud University of Virginia alum and I love any reason to visit Cville. - I probably eat too many sprinkled donuts - Sugar Shack has the best! - I shoot 10-15 weddings annually. -I always say yes to Happy Hour! -Morocco, Jerusalem, and Santorini are at the top of my travel list. -I believe Jesus is the greatest example of genuine love and service. -There is always candy in my camera bag on wedding days. - I have a huge fear of spiders...and pretty much all bugs, if we’re being honest. - My photography journey started with my parent’s point-and-shoot camera. - I love creating beautiful images, but more importantly, I love serving couples on one of the greatest days of their lives! MY PHILOSOPHY My goal as your wedding photographer is to make this one aspect of the planning process simple. Photography is more than just images, it’s a real part of your day. Food perishes, flowers die, but you’ll have your images forever. Not only do you deserve beautiful images, you also deserve an amazing photographic experience. When my couples feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, that results in genuine, joyful images! Marriage is a beautiful gift and I understand that these will be the sweet, timeless images that you’ll show your children and grandchildren to tell them about your family’s legacy. My goal is to not only capture memories for my clients, it’s to create a wonderful experience in the process.

ABOUT ALBUMS
Albums If you’re choosing to invest in quality photography, those images deserve a classy, elegant home after the wedding. You can leave them all in their online gallery, or you can create a beautful book to show your friends and family. I absolutely love giving my clients the ability to see their images in print. I offer leather or linen bound Legacy Albums for my wedding clients because they’re a wonderful way to display your images. This is the perfect ending to The Wedding Experience and it’s a keepsake that you will be showing your children and grandchildren one day! I will work with a professional album design company to do all of the work for you and you’ll be able to approve the design before it’s made. There are several leather options for you to choose from when you’re designing your final piece. With the Classic and Petite Collections, you can still add a legacy album to your package at any time before or even after your wedding day! If you’d like to see some leather sample albums, we can schedule an in-person meeting to view size options, cover options, and color swatches.

A peek into the JVP Wedding Experience:
1. Consult I love hopping on the phone with couples just to make sure we are a good fit! I will be with you more than any other vendor you book for your wedding, besides your planner, and if we work well together, it makes your wedding much less stressful!
2. Booking Once you decide if I am your dream wedding photographer, it’s time to make things official! After deciding which package would be the best option for you, I will send over your contract. Once I receive the signed contract and retainer, I’m officially your wedding day third-wheel!
3. Engagement session We’ll work together to pick the perfect season and location for your session. I will walk you through everything. By the end of your engagement session you will be so comfortable in front of the camera, you’ll consider a modeling career!
4. Timelines
About 6 months out from your wedding, we’ll start talking wedding day timelines! I’ll send over some sample timelines based on what we’ve discussed about your day. These should help you make some final decisions about how much time to allot for various parts of the day. As always, I’m available for any questions you may have as you craft your timeline.
5. Wedding day questionnaire
2 months before your wedding, I will send you a questionnaire that outlines your whole wedding day. It asks questions from wedding day concerns, what family pictures are important to you, all the way to your timeline! I will print out the questionnaire and bring it on your wedding day, so my team knows exactly what’s happening at all times. The week of your wedding, we’ll hop on a call to discuss the questionnaire and any last minute details.
6. Your wedding day!
It’s finally here! Today your one and only job is to relax and have fun. Don’t let any of the small details stress you out, because at the end of the day you’ll finally be married and that’s ALL that matters! I’ll be by your side all day capturing the joyful tears, heartfelt toasts, and all the unforgettable dance moves.
7. Gallery Delivery
I will deliver your final gallery 4-6 weeks after your wedding day! You’ll be able to download individual pictures, pictures from certain parts of the day or the entire gallery! You’ll also be free to share this link with friends & family, and order prints or canvases online!
8. Happily Ever After
Once you’re back from your honeymoon and wedding craziness has slown down, I’ll reach out to see if you’re interested in any products. If you decided to add an album to your wedding package, we will start the design process after your gallery is delivered.
