This critical design project interrogates the “back-story” of discarded objects and materials to propose alternate forms of marketing their re-use. Inspired by the hacking and “make-use” culture in Thailand, this project challenges and brings awareness to this damaging apparatus of consumerism. Can the mechanisms of marketing that lead to so much needless waste actually be employed to find distinct markets for it?
This is a collective album/journal of the REHASH project that displays processes, prototypes, inspirations, and refinements since the Fall of 2019.
