IESE Business School, University of Navarra Ananke was asked to create a small gift that was both elegant and minimalist, that would commemorate the opening of IESE Business Schools new building in New York in 2009, which would be attended by the corporate elite, dignitaries and key alumni.


solution Equipped with a high-resolution photograph of the new building, Ananke proposed applying IESE's brand identity to a bookmark as an item representative of the world of academia, culture and study. A silver-plated bookmark, varnished on both sides was selected, and was then personalised using reverse stamping, creating a lowrelief profile, which emphasised the building's best architectural features.

Presentation: The bookmark was presented in a quality hand-made cardboard gift-box, covered in IESE's corporate colour and personalised by printing the name of the School matt silver on the cover. As a special detail, messaging for the event itself was also printed on parchment paper and placed on top of the bookmark inside the box to enhance the feeling of quality.


conclusion Ananke developed a highly personalised product and packaging that was in keeping with IESE's brand image and identity, creating a gift that was lightweight, useful, and elegant.

IESE Business School, University of Navarra To create a useful, elegant business gift that was substantial enough to commemorate executives graduating from IESE's range of premium master programmes, most of which were from large corporations and multinationals.


solution Ananke proposed a personalised gift box consisting of three items: 1) A classic black Moleskine notebook with its signature cream colour, acid-free paper pages. The notebook is thread bound and has a soft cover with rounded corners, a bookmark, an elastic closure and an expandable inner pocket. Used by Hemingway, Picasso and Chatwin, today the ruled notebook is a favourite with business executives. It is reliable travel companion, perfect for writings, thoughts and note taking. Ananke personalised the notebooks by heat-stamping the Business School logo giving an elegant and long-lasting result. 2) A USB Memory Stick made by Twist in black and matte silver, its unique design includes a swivel top. The IESE coat of arms was stamped in black to contrast with the silver top. 3) A matching, good quality black and silver pen and pencil set. Using laser, both of these were personalised with the name of the School providing a long-lasting and elegant result. All the items were presented in a made-to-measure cardboard box in IESE's corporate colours; a specially shaped based ensured that all the elements were displayed correctly. The IESE Business School coat of arms was heat stamped on the cover of the gift box.


conclusion Ananke created a high quality, useful and desirable branded graduation gift aimed at the executive market. Currently, Ananke is using the Moleskine notebook packaged with a range of different items and packaged and branded as required for different events.

ESADE Business School, Barcelona Ananke had worked on a range of marketing products for ESADE since 2008. The target market included executives on the professional Masters' programmes and business students on a range of courses. The Business School needed a product range that helped communicate the brand in terms of quality and uniqueness, and that would have a wide appeal. ESADE's objective was to sell the merchandise for a profit that would towards student scholarships.


solution Ananke presented ESADE with a range of options from which they selected twelve products each with individual packaging, in a range that included textile, technology and leather items. One of the items selected was a high quality T-shirt by Slazenger which was chosen in three colours that were both wearable yet on brand. Ananke applied elements of ESADE's visual identity to create a modern and clearly differentiated design. An ESADE brand asset was stamped on the side of a sleeve and the logo printed in full towards the bottom of the T-shirt. The shirts were 100% cotton, 150gr/m2 and were wrapped individually. To accompany the shirt, Ananke designed a 4.5x13.5cm tag made from recycled card with the ESADE logo on one side and a message on the other side that explained why these shirts were being sold and what the money would be used for. Ananke suggested that the tag be designed in the form of a bookmark, complete with tassel, so that it could be repurposed providing extra value.


conclusion Ananke developed a highly desirable product that was unique to the Business School and completely in line with the ESADE brand. The product was useful, modern and attractive, with a dual-purpose customised tag. The design continues to be used by ESADE since 2008.
