F R I DAY Departing Henley at 8.00am we travel directly to Liverpool, arriving in the city by 11.00am, in time for coffee. Things to visit include: • The Albert Dock, which is a World Heritage Site and offers an interesting array of waterfront shops, cafés and museums • Museums include the Tate Gallery, the Maritime Museum and the ‘Beatles Story’ which is a shrine to the legendary pop group Then board our coach for the short journey to our hotel for dinner and overnight. S AT U R DAY We return to the heart of the city so you can pick up where you left off yesterday: • Take a boat trip on the River Mersey for an alternative view of the city • Visit one or both of the city’s cathedrals, the Metropolitan Cathedral or the Anglican Cathedral. Perhaps make the trip to the top of the bell tower for magnificent views Our homeward journey begins at 4.00pm and our direct route means that we reach Henley by 7.00pm approx.

S AT U R DAY Our day out in the Peaks commences as we travel north through dramatic scenery. We arrive mid afternoon, with time to explore a little and perhaps: • Browse the selection of individual shops and boutiques • Treat yourself to afternoon tea at the world famous Betty’s Tea Rooms! We check in to our hotel with plenty of time to relax before dinner and our overnight stay. S AT U R DAY This morning is free to enjoy Harrogate’s attractions. Why not: • Pay a visit to the town’s Turkish Baths and Spa to unwind • Browse antiques and unusual gifts in the stylish Montpellier Quarter We leave Harrogate at 12.00 noon and make our way to the bustling North Yorkshire market town of Ripon, with its many attractions including the cathedral and Workhouse Museum. The breathtaking scenery of the Lake District holds a special fascination, with its beautiful combination of rugged crags and tranquil lakes. Our break will be centred on the bustling Lakeland resort and old market town of Keswick.

S U N DAY Departing Henley at 9.00am we travel to historic Chester, where there is time to explore and have lunch. Make the most of your time: • Take a stroll along the atmospheric city walls • Enjoy shopping in the quaint streets • Relax with a boat ride on the River Dee We continue to Blackpool, arriving in the mid afternoon. Soak up the atmosphere of this traditional and popular resort: • Take a ride on a tram • Travel to the top of the famous Tower for a bird’s eye view • Admire the giant sculptures along the promenade. As night falls, the illuminations come to life and the electric extravaganza begins. Blackpool Illuminations are considered to be the best free light show on earth; we drive along the promenade in the comfort of our coach for a great view. M ON DAY Most of the day is free in Blackpool. Enjoy more of the attractions on offer: • Try your luck with the amusements on one of the piers • Visit the Sea Life Centre and admire the fascinating underwater creatures Our homeward journey begins at 3.00pm and we reach Henley 7.00pm approx.

Departing Henley at 8.00am, we skirt London and cross the Thames via the Queen Elizabeth Bridge. Arriving in Rochester, we are immediately in Charles Dickens country. Rochester High Street was often used in his novels and you will be enthralled by the history and heritage that the town possesses: • Follow in the footsteps of Dickens with a walking tour • Visit the cathedral and castle, both of which have Dickens connections • Enjoy a relaxing Medway cruise Our coach transfers to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. S AT U R DAY We suggest that your join our coach for the short transfer to nearby Chatham where a visit to the Historic Royal Docks is highly recommended. S AT U R DAY This morning is free to explore Keswick a little further. It’s market day, so perhaps enjoy the atmosphere and browse the stalls. Making Enquiries & Booking Your Great Break Please note – no lunches, entrance charges to any attractions or porterage are included. Meals in some hotels are served on a carvery basis, please ask for details. Choose your seat – Choose where you want to sit on the coach and we will confirm this when you book your break. One boarding point with free parking – For a quick start to the beginning and end of your break, there is just one boarding point, here at our premises at Liveridge Hill. Our car park is safe, secure and well lit and you can park here for the duration of the break, free of charge. DIRECTIONS: Our premises are situated one mile north of Henley, on the A3400, travelling towards Birmingham. On arrival, enter via the ‘Entrance’ gateway and follow the signs for ‘Great Breaks Parking’. For passengers being dropped off and collected at the end of the break, there is ample space for this. Travel in comfort – All coaches used on Great Breaks will be from our top class touring fleet, equipped with air conditioning, reclining seats and toilet. No smoking – Enjoy a great atmosphere! Please remember that we operate a no smoking policy on all coaches.

Great Break Bookings – For a provisional booking, a simple telephone call is all that is needed. We will hold places for you without obligation for 7 days (please note; provisional bookings will be cancelled automatically if payment is not received within 7 days). Confirmation of Booking – In order to confirm your booking we require payment in full within 7 days. Once received we will send you your Great Break confirmation, receipt of payment, the number and location of seats booked . Methods of Payment – All normal methods of payment, including cash, cheque, by debit and credit card and by telephone or by post are acceptable. PLEASE MAKE CHEQUES PAYABLE TO: ‘JOHNSONS COACH TRAVEL’. Please note there is a 2% charge for payments made by credit card. Reductions – There are no reductions for children on Great Breaks. Cancellation by the Company – Should circumstances arise where, due to less than 20 bookings, we are forced to cancel an Great Break, all monies paid by all passengers for that particular break will be refunded and following that the Company shall be exempt from any further liability. Cancellation by the Passenger – You may cancel your Great Break at any time and provided that we receive notice of cancellation within 56 days in writing (8 weeks) of the departure date, then we will refund you the value of the break, less a £20 cancellation charge and the value of your travel insurance premium. No refunds can be given for

cancellations made less than 56 days prior to departure. You may be able to claim back the cost of your Great Break (less the insurance premium and the insurance excess charge) through your travel insurance which can be purchased at the D C R B A time of booking.
