When given a design task I identify the problems that hinder communication, I seek to understand the target audience for this design and conduct and

compile vital research that is related to the design. The use of type, color, images and other visual references in the design all support the design concept. Having a concept and goal for my projects is important in my design

philosophy. As a designer and artist, my goal is to communicate to the receiver which is the audience in my designs.

This logo was redesigned to emphasize originality of Upland’s signature brewing of their Wheat to produce their flavorful beer. Also, the hills in the logo signifies the hills of Bloomington where Upland was founded in. Typeface: Century Gothic Bold Color Scheme:

This logo was redesigned for a premium tea company named Salada Tea. They used pure ingredients in making their teas and have unique packaging for their products.

Salada Green tea was founded by Peter C. Larkin 1950. Larkin’s recognition of the need for prepackaged tea set the packaging trend for the entire tea industry. logo design Eastman manufactures the chemicals, fibers and plastics that give everyday products the strength, design and functional characteristics desired by consumers and commercial customers worldwide. The logo designed uses a clean san serif typeface. The color chosen for the logo was royal blue which gives the company a defined look. The hexagons is the logotype icon to represent all the chemical, fibers, and plastics that eastman research, designs, and manufactures.

stationery design The stationery created for Eastman Pharmaceutical is meant to be very simple, cleaned and refined. The upper left corner of the documents simply has the logo and includes all mandatory information along the side of the logo. A fading hexagon shape is faintly in the lower left of the documents. A blue strip is added to the design to create balance for the design.

corporate buildings The corporate building signage created for Eastman Pharmaceutical is meant to be very simplistic, yet professional in its own terms. The main office of Eastman is a beautiful and inviting environment with beautiful trees and flowers surrounding the building. Large stain-glass windows to allow natural sunlight into the offices and laboratories. The entrance sign is a large stainless steel (post) with the logo embed at the top along with text to reference locations around the Eastman campus.

The corporate uniform consist of a simple white button up with optional tie for employees. The laboratory coat for scientist consist of a white long lab coat. All the uniforms have the Eastman identity patch on the upper right chest of the uniform.

corporate vehicles Corporate vehicles are very simplistic and plain with just a white delivery van with the logotype across the side of the vehicle. Other vehicles include delivery trucks and semi truck for large transportation of products.

The Eastman webpage is very easy to navigate and design with the end user in mind. The website layout is made into 2 columns with a main content and sub-categorizes sections for new and updates.

KFC also known as Kentucky Fried Chicken is repositioning their company and upgrade into an upscale 5 star elegant restaurant. The logo design uses a bold all block cap lettering to create clear letterforms and a well balanced text. The color chosen for the logo was a darken red which strives away from the look of a fast food restaurant with the occasional bright red or other distinctly fast-food color schemes. This refined color helps give the company a defined look. The Chicken silhouette used at the top of this logo is a representation of a rooster that represents KFC as strong and dominant competitor in today’s restaurants.

restaurant store-front Restaurant building design is very elegant and upper class look and feel to it. The front door has a very tall and vertical architectural glass. At the top has a black matte banner embed with the newly designed KFC Logo. Overall the building design is to showcase the elegance of the restaurant.

menu design KFC’s menu design is simply yet elegant. It’s design is a 3 page tri-fold with 3 columns of excellent choices of our finest entree’s and desserts. The menu also contains colorful images to help customers get a visual focus on the food they will be served.

Employee uniforms are very professional and dressy. The outfit consist of: a white long sleeve button up, dark red apron, black slacks, and optional tie. A very simple and comfortable uniform for employees and can be easily recognized by customers. The logo is a patch on the upper left chest of the apron.

directdesign mailer Direct mailers for KFC are very elegant and eye-catching with their beautiful photos of interior of the restaurant along with photos of some entree’s available at their restaurant. These mailers are mailed out to new customers and sometimes returning customers.

logo design Ecofuels is formerly known as Evolution Fuels which is a United States company based upon using biofuels and today’s newest technology to help reduce carbon emmissons and find alternative fuels sources in today’s economy. The logo itself is very eye catching and fundamental balanced with the text and soft colors. Text used is the infamous font used everywhere Helvetica. The icon within the text is a leaf vector to help represent the company in their identity as a biofuels company.

gas-station design Ecofuels gas station’s design is very trendy with a modern design. The fueling station is colored with the ecofuel’s green to set themselves apart from other fueling stations near by. Beautiful plants are in front of the fuel station to give the essence of a eco-friendly building.

They target them by showing an image that represents where biofuels are born from in this case in this bus stop ad shows a planet growing. magazine “print�cover Student Print magazine cover design - The magazine cover is to create an effective design solution to the global waste problem by illustrating the alternative of using edible packaging as an economic, technical, and energy efficient way of preserving the environment. With producing edible packaging, recycled packaging costs will be greatly reduced, overflows of wasteful trash will subside, and a simple more efficient packaging means would be introduced in the consumer market.
