Gingivitis the causes and cures Gingivitis is one of the periodontal diseases that affect those tissues that surround the teeth. It begins with bacterial growth in your mouth if not properly treated. Gingivitis (gum inflammation) is an entry level form of periodontal disease, which is a leading cause of tooth loss in overall population, especially in adults. Gingivitis is easy to diagnose on your own. Patients with this disease are at higher risk of periodontal disease. Medications:-Some drugs such as oral contraceptives and ant aging drugs such as Procardia can cause abnormal growth of tissue surrounding your teeth. Genetics: – Up to 30% of the population may be genetically inclined to gum disease. How is Gingivitis treated? It is easy to prevent gingivitis by following instruction at your home. Regular brushing is the best way of curing gingivitis at home. Use soft toothbrush .You may use herbal toothpaste also. Dedicate at least 8-10 minutes to clean your teeth. Following are some of the remedies to cure gingivitis:• Gargling your mouth with saltwater is a great way to reduce the swelling of gums. • Chewing of a clove is also effective in the reduction of inflammation in the gums. • Aloe Vera juice is also an effective way of treating the problem of gum infection. A healthy diet is also equally important for curing gingivitis. Eating apple is a good way of curing infection. Include fruits like pears and apples in your daily diet and you will surely get relief from gum problems.
