ABOUT NEXT STEPS
NEXT STEPS NEEDS VOLUNTEERS
You will be teaching 6-12 of Patuxent’s best — offenders that are abiding by institutional policies and procedures and actively attending their counseling sessions while incarcerated.
The mission of Patuxent Institution is to provide specialized treatment services to eligible offenders in a safe and secure facility in order to enhance public safety in Maryland. The Next Steps program helps to bring this mission to life. This program consists of volunteers, with varying skill sets, who commit to teach the participating youth offenders valuable skills to help prepare them for life outside the institution.
There are dozens of ways you can make a difference in these people’s lives.
