Thank you for attending our 11th Annual Spring Benefit Auction & Dinner. Please walk around and look at the great donations in our silent and live auction. We’re sure there’s an item or two with your name on it☺ If you have any questions about the auction items, please ask a team member. We are here tonight to provide the dream of home ownership for the next Habitat Family. Without you, our community supporters, our sponsors, our auction item donors, and our volunteers, this event would not be successful. Our average Habitat new home cost is $70,000. Last year’s Benefit netted $47,225. You can help us reach our goal of building a home with tonight’s proceeds! Since 1990, IH HFH has built or rehabilitated 81 homes. We have 5 homes in progress; 3 in Waterloo, 2 in Waverly, and 8 to start soon; 6 in Waterloo, 1 in Cedar Falls, and 1in Parkersburg. Each home owner is required to work 300 hours, with 100 of those hours worked prior to being accepted as a Partner Family. Habitat Homes are not hand outs, but rather a hand up. Each Partner Family works to be accepted, and re-pays a monthly mortgage at 0% interest after closing. Ron Steele is our Celebrity Emcee and our Celebrity Auctioneer is Gary Kroeger. Both Ron and Gary have supported this chapter for many years; we are delighted to have them back; and we are looking forward to another successful and lively auction. Thank you, both, for your continued commitment to us. A special thanks goes to the volunteers from the

college Habitat Chapters. They did item carryin, valet parking, item carry-out and clean up! Thank you for making this event possible! We hope that you enjoy yourselves this evening. Take pride in the fact that you are helping the next Habitat Family to realize the dream of home ownership. Have fun, and please bid with your hearts☺ Sincerely, The Auction Committee
