A MESSAGE FROM JOHN CHRISTNER Welcome to fall! Soon we’ll be in the middle of the holiday season and we’re looking forward to a busy one. One of our valued operators has achieved some national recognition and we couldn’t be more proud. Thomas Smith has been named to the inaugural class of IC Ambassadors by the Coalition of Independent Truckers. Tom has been with JCT for 9 years. We look forward to seeing him represent the industry and

independent truckers educating media, the public and policy makers about the importance of independent contractors in the nations supply chain. Tom has always operated with the highest level of integrity and provided quality, safe service to JCT and our shipping partners. Congratulations Tom!! Be well!

JCT NETWORKING

Gina Bartley, Lori Loy, and Katrina Stretch attended the Accelerate! Women in Trucking conference in Dallas, TX. While there were many beneficial industry related sessions, such as attracting and retaining female drivers, there were also a number of sessions that discussed personal development. It’s an exciting time to be a woman in a predominately male industry. Mylene and Lori from Driver Facts treated the ladies of JCT to dinner at Javier’s the last night of the conference.

Dustin Byrd and Aileen Hurtado took Coke planner, Raven Carroll, to the Cowboys season home opener against the Giants!

DRIVER APPRECIATION WEEK

2019 DRIVER APPRECIATION WEEK was a week full of good food, fun giveaways, and tireless teamwork! Thank you to all of the staff that made this week possible and thank you to all drivers in our fleet for being crucial to our success. Next time you’re on the yard, pick up your DAW 2019 bag full of goodies!

IN THE COMMUNITY

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE

Saturday, September 28th, we had the privilege to partner with Walmart Heart to celebrate the life of Grady Wall, a little boy that suffered from Desmoplastic small round cell tumors (DSRCT). JCT, Walmart Drivers Heart Team (National), Allied Towing of Tulsa, Coweta Fire Dept, Jeepers Anonymous, and RU4C (Riders United for Children) had a caravan from one Walmart to another where there was a fundraising event set up to help the family out. Thank you to our drivers that participated. Bill Wrenn, Brian David, Kelly Roman, BJ Brown, and Fred Chapman.

SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT

Cheryl Owens shared a picture series of her great nephew, Elliot, getting his first hair cut. Before (far left), during (middle), after (far right)

David and Kristy Ingram wrote, “We just got back from a Trip of a Lifetime! We are so thankful for the experiences we had on this trip. We spent one week in Maldives and one week in South Africa. Traveled over 28,000 miles, 62 hours flight time on 11 different flights. By the time we got back we were totally wiped out. But the trip was totally worth it! We saw places and did things we never thought we would see. We made sure to live it up everywhere we went. Thank you again John Christner Trucking Family for giving us a trip we will never forget! Some the points of interest we hit were Maldives: Snorkeled, Para-sailed Deep Sea fishing, Submarine Sunset Cruise Capetown: Motorcycle rides/coast, Winery Motorcycle museum, Waterfront Catamaran boat ride in harbor Cadillac ride, Cape Point/Cape of Good Hope Boulders Beach, Table Mountain Brooke Johnson shared this photo of Kyla, Kaiden, and Karleigh at Meet the Chiefs night at Berryhill.
