A MESSAGE FROM JOHN CHRISTNER The hot weather (or hottest weather anyway) is finally behind us! Peak hurricane season is ramping up and Hurricane Dorian arrived right on schedule. Weather like this can cause large disruptions to our network, meaning we have to be nimble to keep our valued drivers safe and respond to customer needs. Keep tuned to all available resources to stay informed about what’s happening in areas close to these storms along the Atlantic seaboard and Gulf Coast. We continue to educate and train on best practices for meaningful and actionable communication. Ownership providing the vision, leadership providing the coaching and our associates executing the mission. We appreciate the collaborative effort of our entire team every hour, every day, every week in making an already great JCT even better! Be well!

WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE THE INGRAM’S GOING? 2018 Pete Osborn winner, David Ingram, tells us a little bit about where he and his wife, Kristy, have decided to go for their 2 week all expense paid vacation. “For the Pete Osborn award we choose to go to Maldives for a week and stay in the over the water bungalows, then we will head over to South Africa to tour Cape Town and Big Game Safaris for the second week. Initially when I picked it I didn’t think about getting shots. So far I’m about 5 needles in and still have 2 left when we get back. Kristy and I have never been over the pond so this will be a first. We’ve done a lot of cruises and hung out in Mexico but never dreamed about being able to go that far out. The trip in a nut shell -11 flights total with 62 hours of actual flight time then a speed boat ride to the island. We are super excited and very grateful for this special award and a trip of lifetime.” Stay tuned for pictures and hopefully a story or two from the Ingram’s trip!

UPCOMING EVENTS

SEPTEMBER 9 TH – 13 TH John Christner Trucking along with our Associates hosts a weekly event to recognize our professional truck drivers for their hard work and commitment at one of the most demanding and important jobs in our nation. These men and women not only deliver our customers goods safely, and on time but also help keep our highways safe. They log millions of miles each year and deliver tons of freight in order to keep this country moving. Please join us in celebrating these hard working Americans that keep our country strong. A letter from John Christner: On behalf of Danny, Darryl and myself, I would like to personally thank you for your hard work and dedication. Your efforts have helped make JCT one of the top refrigerated carriers in the industry today.

Since the day we opened our doors in 1986, I have been dedicated to building a carrier that would not only satisfy the needs of our customers, but place the driver’s needs in the forefront. With that philosophy JCT has become an industry leader. My respect and admiration for the drivers that have made JCT what it is today and it continues to grow. Driver Appreciation week gives us an opportunity to openly express our gratitude for your contributions. Although this open expression comes but once a year, you are always in my thoughts and prayers each and every day. Be safe..
