JCT NEWSLETTER D E C E M B E R 2018
A MESSAGE FROM JOHN CHRISTNER We made it through Thanksgiving providing not only the exceptional service our customers have come to expect from us, but also the additional capacity needed during the holiday week. Thanks to all of our operators that were able to work through all or part of the week! We are constantly looking for ways to improve the experience of driving at JCT and there are several initiatives underway based on feedback we’ve received from our operators. Our operators may have already noticed an increase in early preplans enhancing the ability to plan for what happens once delivery has been made. We will continue to provide as many early preplans as we can. Operators, it is vital that you do your part in communicating regarding those plans early and often. Let’s continue our work together to provide amazing holiday service to our valued customers. Be well!

OUR EMPLOYEES W H AT E V E R IT TAKES Janie Loudermilk nominates Tamera Castodio for the December “Whatever It Takes” award winner Tamera Castodio has been with JCT for over 20 years. She is one of the CSRs for Area 1 and does an OUTSTANDING job. I have witnessed her staying late several times to make sure all appointments are made or rescheduled for our drivers. She is constantly dealing with new and changing appointments, rescheduling, the updating of loads and so much more. I love working with her. She is a very dependable, hard worker for sure!!!! Tamera will be honored with a trophy, a “Whatever It Takes” designated parking space in front of the building and a $50 QuikTrip gas card. Janie will also have the honor of naming next month’s “Whatever It Takes” winner.

JCT WELLNESS
Spirulina is simply a magnificent source of nutritional insurance! This one super-food is one of the most nutritious and concentrated. Spirulina is rich in B vitamins, vitamin K1 and K2, vitamin E, calcium, iron, magnesium, selenium, manganese, potassium, zinc and iodine. It consists of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an important fatty acid for heart and joints, antioxidant chlorophyll and carotenoids, such as beta-carotene. For great eye health,
spirulina contains zeaxanthin and lutein. It’s main active component is phycocyanin, the substance which gives spirulina it’s unique blue-green color, benefits the liver, kidneys, brain and immunity. Spirulina is fantastic for reducing inflammation and oxidative stress in the body!! Spirulina comes in a powder or tablet form. I use it as my multi-vitamin supplement.
